Default so how do you like your Z?

im planning on buying one soon, im frankly tired of having to work on my 2000 audi a4 1.8t, im done with it, im OVER it, i want something new and i've always liked the 350z, what are their common problems and so on, i found one that i liked so far, its an 2003, 6speed, convert. with only 75k on it and they are asking $10,000 so i plan on trading the audi in and go from there. how do you like your Z?

It is an very good weekend car for me. Search the site for potential issues with the various model years.

If you're young, it's cool and all but the 2 seats only thing is becoming a hassle the older I get.

I love the car, but yeah the 2 seats and no room does get old. Hell you can't move anything but groceries haha. I went out and got a mustang, so much nicer with room and that V8 hauls buns. The Z is a great car though and has some of the best leather seats IMO. My car is now 10 years and seats like damn good to show for it as a DD.

I love the car and have no regrets. I came from an Acura RSX and transitioning from a 4 clynder to a v6 was the best decision i could have made. It easy to say i could have just bought an EVO or STI, but the 350z is a just pure and all around great enthusist ride.

Really just minor stuff

Biggest prob on mine was the trans, had it replaced to the CD009 under warrenty back at 40K miles. Now the fuel rail cracked, everything else was induced with heavy beating on my car. Valve cover have not been removed yet, 152k on it, track the hell out of it.

I have owned 2 Z cars. The 300zx turbo with 250K miles on it and the 350z roadster with 90K miles on it. Every car will give you some kind of problem. But all the work I have done on both cars was to upgrade the parts. I would say these cars are very reliable. Plus my mechanic says those Euro cars are a pain in the butt to work on.

Love it. Although I will never drive it in winter because it would suck due to conditions and salt.

Extremely boring(slow) on the street and just absolutely amazing on a road course, even in stock form.

I'm not gonna lie, for the abuse these cars take I give it to nissan for building such a quality engine. Even at 117k miles and 10 years old, my Z is still holding up to its name.

Ummmm! There was no convertible in 2003. The first year was 2004. Hopefully, you "misspoke." If not, I encourage you to do more research. Good luck!

No plans to ever sell it. Can't wait to put Historic Tags on it in 17 years

i was deciding between a 08 350z and 04 05 audi tt or 04 05 gti. after reading all the repairs that people had to do or all the down time they were experiencing with the vehicle and then hearing the about the very few problems the z had from online reviews and friends who owned one, I knew what to pick. since owning i must say it makes me smile daily. if i had to complain about anything I guess it would be uhhhh hmm idk. I like having two seats but then again im only 22, gas mileage could be better but what do you expect? and I could drive a little less enthusiastically... over all its a very fun and pleasing car. keep in mind i do have a winter car for the new england winters.

I'm a mechanic myself and i definitely back that up, i just got my front end back together yesterday and was tracking down a vacuum leak and its coming from the injector seat so i have to replace that, its all special order crap for this car.

taking the whole front clip off made it so much easier to work with.
