Back when I was in highschool and had a sh!tty car I got some fog lights from walmart(they looked cool at the time and I can see so good at night and in the rain), I got a rubber garage door sill and molded it to a nice little lip for the front bumber from home depot, got some stainless silver mesh that was meant for a gutter on a house and made a nice grill, got a red button to stick on my dashboard to make people think I had nitrous but it was really to turn on the fog lights. Also i got black zip ties to keep the gril in place. All in all I spent 30 bucks and my little toyota "wuz gettin all da bitchez at my skool". I should of got sponsered by home depot and walmart for making a dope ride for 30 bucks.

OP: Sincerely, I suggest u save up for some decent wheels rather than plasti-dip or buy replicas. Although Varrstoens (Vollk TE37 replicas) look good, they weigh like crazy, and unlike the kid with the automatic gearbox says he did it "clean". His car is still rice because he continuous to do cosmetic upgrades. Ur better off modifying ur car slowly, but right. Gets some decent testpipes (motordyne ART), plenum spacer, etc... Ull be alot happier with your money spent. And best bang for wheels is Enkei RPF1s in my opinion. Have nice form, and are very functional. Happy modding, and good luck with ur Z.
PS. Welcome to the forums..lol

Dont plasti dip anything it looks like **** on anything but the nissan badges and even then it only looks good sometimes.
But the CHEAPEST mod that actually makes the car look better is either the shorty antenna
or a bumper tuck if you already have a nice looking exhaust

Anybody replaced the license plate lights at the back? Took the dull yellows out and put in Phillips HID's, looks good and they only cost $20. Did it for the interior as well and they're much brighter, looks awesome at night.

No, no one since 2001 has replaced their license plate bulbs with LEDs. Oh wait you said HIDs so that means you have ballasts in there as well.

Mr. Sparco, quite the comedian huh? If you don't like it, keep your mouth shut, I mean, your keyboard silent. I posted it for people who might like it, like Stuart here. Got too many keyboard warriors on this forum, lighten up.

Stu I got then from Canadian Tire, you can find them anywhere in the automobile section whether its Wal Mart or anywhere else.

You are quite sensitive. Did I say I didn't like it? Only that it's not a new mod.

Api - that's the first thing I did to my car back in 2005. Don't for get about the hatch light, like I did.

Some of us have been here for a long time and forget we were once new to the Z and getting excited with the littlest mods we do to our car like shorty antenna, debadging, shift **** and led bulbs etc. Then post it up and share with fellow enthusiast, that's what forums are about! I usually keep comments to myself when I see these posts made b/c I've seen these mods over and over again after all these years so I would probably be an a$$ too when I post but mean no harm.

You gotta have thick skin to live in this community and if you go back and read the entire thread.... there's nothing but fire here and sparco is just re-igniting the flame

GL and enjoy your stay.

Lol, sarcasm isn't so easy to detect on a forum. Been reading the forums for a while and seems like everyone gets flamed for the smallest things. Anyways, thanks for the tips...stogey, I won't forget it thanks for the heads up.

Anyways...back to contributing to the forum...

Stogey always more patient than I with overly redundant mods/posts/threads/questions etc etc etc etc.

I was just being facetious api, wait till you pee off Alberto, it doesn't take much.
