I say go for it.
As the Z is a sports car, you also need those creature comforts. I purchased the Enthusiast and have enjoyed every bit of it. I LOVE the HID and the cruise is very nice too. I use the homelink everyday and the range on that thing is awesome (wish our keyless worked that well). There is also the things you dont see like the LSD and the traction control that add alot of stability to the ride. I would think it is worth it, espescially if your only taking a 4-5k hit, thats not bad.

I guess you need to ask yourself if you have missed those items.
I have an Enthusiast and rarely if never use the cruise control, I don't know if the HID's are really worth it but I usually drive it during the day and the TCS is up in the air I usually notice it when I get pissed that it cut off the throttle.
So basically if those items would have made your driving experience better then go for it otherwise stay and save your money.

Yes do it, plus you get the little added/updated features of the 04. If you goto an auto, I dont think you will regret it one bit either. But mine is a daily driver so for a weekend car a 6spd is nice.

Yes
I’d say yes. I have an enthusiast.
The cruise control is really handy on long rode trips. The HID's are cool at night. The TCS has saved me from losing my rear several times. It is good to have on a RWD car with this much horsepower. Like Big Sexz said the Homelink is a nice feature if you have a garage & power door, not a necessity, but is nice.
It’s not clear from your post if you have a 6M/T now or not. But if you do and are now going to an Auto, IMHO you’ll regret it. The manual on this Z is half the fun for me. I just love going through the gears, both up shift and downshifting. My advice is try to find the deal with a 6 speed.
As far as the money, sounds okay. You’ll be getting about $2,000 more in options, got 9,000 miles out of your ’03, and so you will be getting new a brand new Z for about $2,000. That’s not too bad, actually less the depreciation I would expect for a year old Z.
Go for it!
Good luck. Peace.
PS What color?

If you plan on mod'n the car, you might really want to keep the base. The HID's honestly are NOT the best in the market, The factory LSD isn't going to do you much good once you increase the traction with some good grip tires and a suspension, and the traction control is purely based on the type of driving you are doing ( grip, drift, whatever ). I think if you plan on rasing the hp a good bit, then keep your base. But if you are only going to drive your z as a weekend car and keep it mostly stock, then the enth. model might be better for you.
