I think I'll claim NO feathering. 12,000 miles, a little over a year old, most on OEM 040's, about 3,500 miles on Blizzak's. No noise, no "drift", no problems!
BUT.......here is a pic of my tire after a day of abuse HPDEing....is that a word?
I must be a masochist!

Took off my 17-inch stock tires at around 8500 miles in order to switch to Blizzaks...upon inspection, there's no feathring to be found.

Nearly 12,000 miles on stock tires (18" on performance model) and no tire feathering. Im about 5 days away from putting on new wheels/tires, so I'll be able to really check then, but so far so good!

Ah, and if you think somebody is going to regret you not buying Z... you are deeply mistaken. The less cars like mine on the road - the better I feel!

I was under in impression that the 2004.5's had the suspension replaced with the eurospec suspension.
And the fact that not a single 04 owner, even early 04's have not experianced tire feathering yet. Much less ANY othr problem.
