Default Remote Controller ready?

Hi, I'm glad to have found this forum! I've been reading a lots of threads here and learned so much about the Z.

I just bought a 2007 (maybe 2006) AT 350Z here in Panama. I say maybe 2006 because the vehicle is registered as 2007 but it have the hood of the 2006 model. Any why to figure out exactly the year?

I got a couple of questions and I will really appreciate if you can help me.

First, I need to determine which model I bought. I readed the FAQs but I'm still not clear on this. I have this:
-Brembo brakes
-Black leather seats
-Bose audio system, bass included
-Power seats, power side mirrors
-Heated seats
-Cruise control
-Audio controls on steering wheel

Second and most important. Previous owner sold it to me with just one key and a remote controller that he got online. But neither he nor I could program it even when we follow the instructions online and on youtube, every step correctly. My question is: does ALL 350z models came ready to use a remote controller??? (there's a blinking red light over the dash, drive side. I don't know if this have something to do with the remote or not)

Thanks for your help!

No brembos in 07, HR hood is req'd in 07 to clear intake, Only way it could be a 07 is if its a convertible. You'd have 2 TBs on an 07, you'll have oil consumption issues on an 06 if it was previously fixed or you may get lucky.

Here it is. I've been told that this is the Japanese version of 350Z. Not US version. Sorry if I'm wrong. Thanks

Any ideas on the remote controller? I follow the steps to program it but the flasher never light up.

An aftermarket alarm was installed and removed before I bought it. Those that may have something to do with not been able to program a remote controller now?

Thanks for all your help

06 Revup, looks pretty standard to me. Key fob needs to be programed by a dealer.

Not sure about every year of Z, but the JDM Z I saw had the remote door lock controller built into the key, instead of the separate fob style we get in here. The Nissan dealer here said that this very sleek style of key would not work for our cars, as the wireless frequency is different. This might be what you are running into to, if you have a JDM car that will not program to an American style remote fob.

Really? My RHD MKIII Supra, Town Ace, NSR250r and R32 Skyline all had English all over the engine and engine bay. How would I know, it's not like I lived in Japan for 2 years or anything.

Thanks for the confirmation, but not really taken, I didn't bought it because it was Japanase.

Here in Panama where I live Nissan sells cars that aren't US version or specs. So I guess there is something Japanese on these cars hahaha

Ok, so after reading your responses I'm now 100% sure it's 2006. Now about the model I'm not sure, I live in Panama so I guess it may differ a little from US specs, but I think mine is either 06 Touring or 06 Grand Touring.

Can somebody let me figure it out? I readed the FAQ about models but I'm confused:
Grand Touring: Adds Brembo brakes and Rays Rims from Track model, underbody aero package, Bose sound system, and leather seats. Available with MT or AT.

I got the ones marked in Green, but I'm not sure about the ones in Red.

Also on another FAQ I found this:
2006 Grand Touring: 18" Front and 19" Rear RAYS Lightweight Forged Rims, but mine are 18" front and rear so it fits 2006 Touring: 18".

BUT HERE COMES THE PROBLEM from another FAQ about identify models becuase I got all of these!!!: Grand Touring Leather seats. BOSE stereo. Brembos brakes. VDC button on lower dash.

Can you guys help me?
