To quote James May from the latest edition of Top Gear magazine,
"I love convertible cars...convertibles are uplifting. When spring finally arrives, you want to take it in as intensely as possible, and an open car generates a sort of supercharging effect in the senses. Nature releases pheromones of some sort, and they are a drug to be craved. A cabrio does this for you."

I'm a roadster guy and bought one. Find out what you want and go for it.

Coupe, the back end looks horrendous from the side on the roadsters imo, no offense to anyone.

I always associate roadsters with having women drivers. I also think the coup looks far and away better than the roadster.

Both look good, I prefer the lines on the coupe though

Roadster takes off some of the aggressiveness, but that is just my opinion

If you plan to autocross, Roadster could be heavier, not sure by how much.

If you have good weather all around the year, Roadster will let you and your dog enjoy the weather all year long

Coupe hands down. I hate the convertible Z look. I don't like convertibles in general because they all look way too different what what the car should look like except the s2k.

If your going to have the top down 95% of the time, go with a roadster. If not than go with the coupe bc the roadster with the top up just looks terrible.

Roadster! I went to a Z meet and everyone and their mama had a coup. 30+ Zs and I was the only ZR. True story that women buy converts more than men, but also as for women, including mine and everyone else's at the meet was loving my ZR. If that has any kind of influence for ya. but hey, maybe you play for the other team.

Roadster fan BIG time! I personally think the 350Z convertible is one of the coolest looking convertibles on the road! I have an 08, dark pearl blue and constantly get complemented on it. It's a head-turner and a blast to drive. My very first complement on the car was... "Holy Crap, that's a nice ride!!". As for the thinking the Z vert being more for chicks, I disagree. Never heard that before. To me, it's always looked like a small muscle car, not a chick car at all.

Only roadster I want/would by is an S2k (my friend has one and they're hella fun to drive) or an older NB Miata because they're cheap as **** to buy and maintain.

COUPE...unless you plan on leaving the top down ALL the time. The convertible ruins the lines of the z and looks horrible compared to the coupe

You have got to be kidding me?

All convertibles look like chick cars.

Test drive both and see what you like honestly, I did and I went with a vert. The exhaust note is godlike on the Z and for a convertible it's not tiny like a miata or s2k, you still feel like you have a car in your midst.

I think convertibles look good with the top down, but I really hate how they look with the top up.

Not kidding. Go back a page here in this thread, take a look at 350zChad's post/pic and tell me that Z looks like a chick car?? Almost looks like the Batmobile from what I see, and that certainly AIN'T no chick car... Are you possibly playing for the other team?? :/

Most convertibles don't keep the cars coupe lines with the top up, except for the Mustang and many classic Muscle cars. The Honda S2000 though still looks nice. For me the coupe in the Z works ZBEST.

Yea, it still looks like a chick car.

What does sexuality have to do with this? Sounds like someone is a little insecure...

I personally only like a convertible in the S2000. I don't like the look of it on the Z even with it down. Comes down to preference really.
