I probably just sold my Z
Hello guys,
Just wanted to make a post. It's been a while and I am at that critical point of WTF did I just do.
I bought my Z knowing it is a Z and not an SUV. When I bought my Z I had an SUV aside for hauling crap and general life. However in a nasty end of relationship scenario I lost my other vehicle and remain with just the Z. I have been fighting with it a few months and now am half way through opening another coffee shop and just can't move things in my Z and renting a pickup every other day is getting expensive. It's urgent so I listed my 2004 Z with 60k miles, new nismo clutch, JWT flywheel, short shifter, HID upgrades, etc. for 9,000. I got an offer for 8,500. They are taking it for a pre-sales mechanical inspection now.
The guy is more than interested, it's probably sold already. I feel pretty weird. All I can think, in 4 months when project Cafe is done, I will be buying another 350z and starting the whole project from 0.
Any consoling words aside from: WTF you fool!

Thanks everyone, makes me feel a bit better!
Lol @ "if you don't then you're a fool"
I will end up with another one. I want an HR or Nismo but where I live it's hard to find one. I am from the USA but living outside the USA and it's a bit hard to find HR's or Nismo's where I am located.... :-P

Damn, I paid 10,800 for an 04 with 65k. It was the best deal I could find locally after looking for 3 months. I'm in California though. Sportscars tend to go for more around here.

If crap happens and my car has to go, it will be gone. I will get another later. Life happens , get your business going and get another Z later.

350Z is a good car and if you buy another, nothing wrong with it at all. I have mine (350Z 2003 Track Model) I bought new and sits at 491hp, so I believe that's plenty for daily driving. And always put your life style or income or business first, and cars second. I have always done it that way and it's much better in the end believe me. When I opened up my computer internet shop (also in another country) I put all mods, etc. on hold till I got it going. Your will do just fine. Enjoy your next one once you have your business up and going.

First of all,I can relate to your story. Many years ago,I had to sell one of my
cars because I needed the funds for my business.Besides, the vehicle was
not usuable for what I needed. We all hate to give up something that we not
only poured bucks into but a lot of labor&love.Life goes.Sometimes you gotta do
what you gotta do.If you made the right decision, you will come back stronger
if your business is a success.Thats what happened to me.
Got to question your low ball selling price and a even lower offer from the buyer.
You are saying Z's in gneral are in short supply in your country.Seems strange
a price so low?Maybe Salvadoran dollars that don't equate to U.S. currency lol?

Haha @ everyone! I have to be honest, if you think 9k is bad, I sold it for 8,500 in reality. Yeah it's insanely cheap but 350z did have some minor details. Example: The ex owner covered the door panels in horrible red leather and it needs to be replaced. Also the two cubbies in the back are broke. Its a works in progress but all the electrical works and it had new paint on the outside. Also the motor is in great shape with low mileage and new clutch and flywheel. I sold it exceptionally cheap but I really need an SUV.
I should just buy a crappy pickup on craigslist but in El Salvador craigslist doesn't exist haha so I have to deal with it, it's funny, people here haggle like crazy. I just need to get an SUV. I plan to go ahead and buy another 350z around october, hoping to for my birthday.
Here are some pics, mind you, it's not in perfect shape and the red door panels are bad, hence why I lowballed the price but mechanically it's a beauty, good sound system too without being ridiculous. And yes, the video needs work, I did it in about 3 minutes.

Jah70 I would have been happy with 9 to be honest just to get a decent used SUV. Once the business is on it's feet I plan to get another.
I know the car has a few minor details but it's still a beauty mechanically. Sad to see her probably go tomorrow at noon.
