And hes right. Stop being a ***** and buy a 6 speed.
I wish they didn't even make the Barbie version of our car. I wonder if f gs come on to the S2k forum and ask about converting a car to auto so they can drive it?

honestly these threads have to stop lol, it doesnt make you better than the next person because you drive a stick everyday. Welcome to being part of the rest of the world. You would be very surprised in Europe, that auto trannies are considered luxuries. Either way it goes, its a car, both trannies get it to drive so who cares?

But they are so much fun. The trophy wives get their panties in a bunch think they are equal because they own a car that looks like a sports car and the enthusiasts tell them how they should have just bought a Honda Accord or something.

LOL I understand, I dont have my panties in a bunch, I know I have an auto but it doesnt make me less of an enthusiast, I am just lazy and this car is my DD, any car put on the track though by me, has an MT, except for this Z, first auto i have raced on a track. Takes a little time to get used to timing the throttle right and shifts, but its still a cool experience.

Yay! Another thread that will go into the stratosphere.

There is a definite rough crowd when it comes to this topic. But I take the stance that the vehicle has to meet the expectations of the person paying for it.

That being said, if you already have the car, consider the Transgo kit or other means of altering the shift firmness. And if you are considering FI understand that the tranny will likely be a limiting factor. But if you are going to daily drive it etc, then enjoy the car you paid for.

If you haven't bought a car yet OP, just get whatever you want. Who cares what people think? But seriously, no need for an AT vs MT thread.

For those owners who are arguing that AT's are just as fast as MT's, here are the official figures from Japan; they are based on 0-62mph. This is equivalent on 0-100kph.
Standard DE manual 0-62mph = 5.8 seconds.
Standard DE auto 0-62mph = 6.4 seconds.
Standard HR manual 0-62mph = 5.7 seconds.
Standard HR auto 0-62mph = 6.1 seconds. These figures are based on coups

Roadsters are also slower than coups

Standard DE Coup manual 0-62mph = 5.8 seconds
Standard DE Roadster manual 0-62mph = 6.1 seconds.

I hope this puts this argument to sleep once and for all.

Here's my video comparing auto and manual. Results were the same every time. Don't start an AT vs 6MT thread on the G35 forums. They'll tell you that auto sedans are the faster than all 6MT G and Z "coupes'.

Camera Car: 2006 G35 Automatic, Intake, Exhaust, MD 5/16 Spacer

My Car: 2005 G35 6 Speed Manual, Exhaust

Hey, are you going to Autoclub with us on Sept 8? Also look up "Las Vegas Track Rats " on Facebook for our local tracking community.

Tochigi, Japan where all 350Z's are built, figures come from their test track, unsure of names of the test drivers. These figures are also available on pretty much all of the Nissan literature when the car was introduced to market.
