Anyone have 4 old TPMS tire pressure monitor sensors that the batteries are dead? I want to crack them open and put new batteries in.

When I bought my car it had aftermarket wheels with no sensors

You can source brand new ones for around $25-30 each. There's a thread here somewhere with the info.

You will likely destroy them trying. The batteries aren't meant to be replaceable so the whole contents is sealed in epoxy, otherwise the vibrations would cause the guts of the sensors to fall apart.

I replaced my whole set with generic ones. Cloned the old OEM ones to the generic brand. If you don't have the OEM set how do you plan to program thought they were tied to the car/ECU?

I forget where i got them from and can look at the boxes later.

I think a dealer can do it or a special aftermarket tool.
