Doesn't really matter anyway, none of the 3 cars we are discussing are fast in a straight line without major modifications anyway. Just dropping a bit of info since there was a bit of misinformation taking place.
no disrespect to anyone that drag races, I just never saw the fun in that. I mean yeah sure massive engine builds go really fast for a short amount of time, but autocross and drift just seem so much more exciting to me, but to each their own.
Just to be clear, track = road course, strip = drag strip. I am so tired of hearing people saying well balanced lightweight sports cars with moderate power are slow at the track.

Thank you Emski. I was only using the RSX to make a point about a car with a good engine that weighs 2700lbs. The BRZ and FR-S with the right mods will be keeping up and/or beating 350z's on tracks. They're RWD just like the Z and lighter like the RSX. I'm not talking forced induction either. We've already seen FR-S' with almost 500hp on a turbo set up. 450+ hp, 2700lbs (full interior), lower center of gravity. You do the math.
damn and all along i thought it was the sticker slapped front lip that was supposed to give an extra 50 HP! poor little guy thought wrong
Hey man, those supercharge your car for 35 bucks is real. It gave my friend's car 10 million horsepower to all four wheels on his V6 rotary Mustang GTR type R and now he smokes everyone like Cuban cigars around here.

Power to weight ratio wins every time. Why the new camaro and challenger need special versions with big hp to cut decent times. Their base model v8's are pigs.

Obviously. Miata's have been proving that for years...
but remember it also depends on they type of road course (i.e how many high speed sections vs. a small twisty track).

Full built motors can be DD. Nothing better than going to the track pop'n off some 10 sec time slips, driving her home and then go to work the next day. (Miss'n my built SR 240 now) I hate building something only to have to trailer it everywhere.
This is my buddy Sal in Kitchener Ont Canada!!! Lol
It is real, I've seen this asian guy before at Tim Hortons and he jumped out over the door of his car with his arms up in the air like he was P Diddy. And he had Notorious blaring while he was out of the car.

Unless its purpose built for non street use.
Oh i know built motors can be DD, but maybe its because ive never physically been in a drag car. I mean the being sucked into the bucket feeling is always exhilirating though. I had a friend with a 240 and dropped an RB25T in it and drove it everywhere, and still drifted it.
