Why not 18x10.5 +15 or 18x10.5 +22 square? The Work CR Kiwami Ultra Deep Concave (http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/mm...ORK-CR-KW-DEEP)

There are many Z owners (including myself) that run 18x10.5 +15 square (Enkei RPF1's usually) with no issues. If you lower an inch (hell even if you don't) you'll need to roll the rear fenders to prevent rubbing issues

Or you can do a 18x9.5 +12 front and 18x10.5 +15 rear staggered setup... Which would also work well.

Good stuff thanks for the info, I think I will do the Ultra Deep Concave. What tire sizes do you run on your 10.5 all around setup? Sorry if these are bad questions, I have no experience with wheel/tire fitment.

Right now I am running 275/35 f and 275/40 r Sumi HTR Z III's (wheels/tires came together). My friend (the previous owner) chose these sizes to stay as close as possible to oem tire diameter. Usually people do this to not upset VDC on higher Z models.

My Z is a Base model with no VDC/TCS/etc. so I'll be running 285/35 Hankook RS3's square as soon as these Sumi's run their course. But will have to run ~-3 degrees of camber up front to prevent rubbing. I'm not building a "hellaflush" "fitted" vehicle (everyone has their own goals)... Mine's being built for the track.

You'll probably be best with a 275/35 f 275/40 r setup since you have a Touring model.

Just spent some time on a tire calculator...I found that this setup worked w/o bothering the VDC:
Rear: 285/40-18 on 18x10.5+15 or 22
Front: 285/35-18 on 18x10.5+15 or 22

Is this possible to fit? I understand I will need to roll fenders.

First of all, I am 17 and I have had my Z for almost a year now. I know there are a lot of people who believe people my age shouldn’t have such a great car. I agree with you. I am very lucky and I wanted to make sure you guys don’t get the wrong impression. I am responsible, I have good grades, and I have also been racing karts around the country since I was seven years old. My dad taught me how to polish and wax when I was younger than ten on his own RX7. I wash my car almost once a week if I have the time and never run her hard. I do however love to spend money on my Z!

This is my 2004 350Z Touring.
Attachment 356535

As she sits:
Sketchy AEM Intake from previous owner (no bracket to hold it stable, putting one in this week)
19” Hyper Silver MRR GT1 Wheels w/ Nitto INVO tires: 275x35 and 245x35
Pioneer GPS/Radio

Future Plans:
My Motordyne Shockwave TDX2 Exhaust is being installed this Monday. I also bought the MREV2 and the 5/16” Copper Iso Thermal Plenum Spacer. I am having the exhaust put in professionally by a local guy who has been a friend of my dad’s for a long time. I am putting the MREV2 and the plenum spacer in myself. My original plans were to get the ART pipes and HFC midsections, but they wouldn’t pass emissions so I couldn’t go with that setup. This setup will be amazing none the less.

Future Plans:
1. Motordyne Adjustable Swaybars
2. KW V2 Coilovers

After I get these things done, I want to change the look of the car a little as well. I was originally thinking of switching out the whole front bumper and getting a carbon fiber Nismo V2, but figured I would save my money and just get a lip (Leaning towards MINES). Next, I want to get the nismo side skirts, voltex rear diffuser, and blitz spoiler.

Tell me what you think! All comments are appreciated, feel free to critique my plans and tell me your ideas/opinions. I will be posting videos on my youtube channel when the exhaust is installed and I will embed them in here also.

pretty general based question,

I think its looks pretty standard

personal preference: I don't really like the design of those rims, some others do but I never liked those too many spokes....

a lot of the small mods are not even worth the money if you were to calculate the money spent divided by the hp gains. You will hardly feel a difference... If anything wait to buy a turbo or supercharger at a discounted rate on the forums.

appearance mods sound like a good idea, personalize and customize I can pretty much guarantee that you will get more compliments on a day to day basis. I had about 5 grand and had a choice for turbo or appearance mods, I chose to alter the appearance of the car. Never looked back

Thanks for the comments. Im changing the wheels asap. Im about $600 away from work emotion kiwamis. So about a month and a half from now for the turbos/superchargers, if i did it i would get a vortech supercharger, but i still need it to be as reliable as stock so i cant do it now and if i do i want to do everything right and im expecting that to end up being out of my price range honestly for now. I wanted to get the exhaust and my current mods to make it sound good and fix what the previous owner did. Im done with performance modding until i can devote the time and money to supercharging it. After wheels and coilovers I am going to start doing cosmetic things like bumpers, skirts, etc.
also did a wiper delete this past weekend just for fun will pos pics later

Try to sell your rims and tires that should get you some money to buy your new rims and tires??? or did you already factor that in to your 600 dollar situation?

Default Update

Hey guys, haven't given any updates in a while, but about a month ago I did a rear wiper delete and it turned out great! Right now I have a plastic plug in that is matte black. Do you guys think I should even bother painting a metal plug gloss black? To be honest you can't really tell unless you are looking for it and I feel like the metal plug will bulge from the body more. It fits very tight and definitely isn't getting any water leaks. I had to file around the sides of the whole to make the plug fit, but it was very very little. Only other problem I had was getting the interior off. I actually broke a wooden spatula i was using to try and pry it off because it was so tight! Here are some pics: Probably about a month or so away from getting wheels and two from getting them installed! I'm pretty much dead set on getting GT Silver Work Emotion CR Kiwami Ultra Deep Concave. All opinions appreciated.

Well ya see when I bought the car, the owner had the stock wheels too, but he moved to florida before we could get them so if I sell these I won't have anything to put on :/

I've been playin around attempting to photoshop some new wheels on "paint" lol...this is what I came up with (See attatched). What do you guys think? I'm beginning to lean towards black now for a couple reasons. First, it is $100 cheaper...not a big deal but is still a pro. Also, it makes it look more mean in my opinion vs silver and it also never looks dirty. I've never been big on blacking out cars, but I love the look of this.

If you did that with MS Paint, that's pretty impressive. Looks good though. The door handles will need painted so they don't look like an awkward forgotten piece on the car.

Did you do it yourself? If not did you have them powdercoated or is that not possible?

I posted this before, but I think it may have been overlooked because of some other posts, but I am very close to purchasing my new wheels, so I am looking into tire sizes and what will fit.

I am going to buy Work Emotion Kiwami's
Front: 18x10.5 +15
Rear:18x10.5 +15

I played with a tire calculator a little and this is what I came up with..
Front: 285/35/18
Rear: 285/40/18

Is it okay to have both 35 and 40? Would it rub? I really appreciate it guys thanks for all of your help. The car is at stock height, hope that all the needed info!

As I stated before, to run 285/35 on 18x10.5 +15 up front you should install aftermarket FUCA's because when you do go lower you will need ~-3 degrees of camber to prevent rubbing. Since you're at stock height/camber, that wheel/tire combo will definitely stick past the front fender width.

As long as you are rolled in the rear you won't rub back there.

And as long as you played around with the tire calculator to make sure the tires were close to stock diameter, your VDC/TCS/etc. should be fine

Man you are fast! If I ran a smaller front wheel/tire would I still need to get camber arms? For example if I did the staggered setup with 9.5 in front instead?

EDIT: With a 265/35 up front

^^^ If you searched around on the various wheels threads you'll find exactly what your proposed sizing/offset will look like

Imo if your Z will not be tracked hard or lowered more than 1.25", 9.5 +15 up front with 265/35 would be better than 10.5 +15 285/35 up front. 265/35 on 10.5 +15 will not stick out past your stock front fender width iirc (maybe barely) and you will not need aftermarket FUCA's if you eventually get lowering springs or Tokico D-specs to prevent rubbing.

I have never seen 285/40 rear what I have seen is 265/35 f 285/35 r and it looks fine with a 9.5/10.5 staggered setup.. but if you need the 40 series to keep your VDC/TCS/etc. in check it wouldn't look drastically different.
