Found a set of form type 2 coilovers on craigslist. They have between 8-10k miles on them. He said make him an offer what do you guys think would be a fair price?

remember with coilovers not all alignment shops know how to adjust them to get you in specs. you can lower about an inch and be close to spec. dont forget sway bars, rear diff bushing

Will keep all this in mind, I have a shop a min away from my house that's good with all that sort of stuff.

^ thanks! I don't no much about lowering lol. Even with everything I read it still gets me puzzled! That won't be too bad then. I don't want to drag I really only want like an inch or two drop. Roads in ohio suck

two inch drop would be too low (my opinion). get nice spring, shocks, front and rear camber and go that route, if you dont like later on then save up and get coils..

I normally don't either and yeah no clue about the rust lol. I'll just stay away from it.

Sounds good to me! I'm thinking like 1" or a 1.25" drop?

here is the setup i did on my car:
Cusco front A arms (did this because they can adjust positive and negative camber)
Kinetix rear traction bars
SPC rear camber arms and toe bolts
Hotchkis sways
sealed end links (i forget what brand) EDIT: Powergrid endlinks are the ones i had
BC coilovers

Car handled great, could adjust suspension anywhere i needed it through 3 different wheel setups and multiple ride heights and the car handled great with a nice smooth firm ride.

Only you can decide what your suspension is worth to you and what will work for you. whether you want top performance or just want a certain look, or somewhere inbetween.

My car at its lowest...

And there was room to go lower

When it was on 19's:

Alright sweet thanks a lot. I'll start reading about those during my lunch break. Just trying to get a list started with prices so I know what I'll be looking at for a ball park. Obviously won't be buying everything at once since I don't have the funds for that lol.

Beautiful car! Is your roof and hatch cf? I was wanting to do that to mine also but couldn't picture how it would look but I like it a lot now that I see it on yours!

Well I put my jeep up for sale on craigslist yesterday and already have a kid coming to look at it tonight after work! Hopefully if I sell it, I'll be paying some things off, putting a grand towards my car payment to drop the monthly payment another $20 so thatll help in the long run! And the rest is going towards parts

If you don't have the $ to drop on a set of coilovers/control arms/etc., look into a set of swaybars. I have KW II's and I was shocked by how much of a difference a quality set of swaybars (Motordyne) made.

Window tint and shorty antenna are always on my list for easy (and somewhat cheap) aesthetic improvements.

I'll look into those. I was already planning on tinting the windows when I bring it out of storage, and I was looking at getting a shorty antenna also, or possibly just doing away with it and using a "stealth" one.

I know what you mean! It took me over a month just to choose what intakes I wanted....a year and a half later I had ordered my headers and exhaust. Good luck with your build!

If you're looking to lower your car without blowing the bank on camber/toe adjustments i suggest hotchkis springs, they are a noticeable drop but not enough that the stock wont adjust. and if you want the most power out of all your mods i suggest getting a full UpRev tune, really brought out everything i was missing after my modifications. oh and sway bars errryyyybody loves sway bars!

My mods:
VQ35HR
Injen Long tube
Greddy TI-C True Dual -
Motordyne ART Test pipes - straight sex and worth the $$$
Hotchkis Springs
Hotchkis Sway bars - i have mine on full stiff and love how the car handles!
SPL Endlinks
Kinetix Rear Camber/Traction (i'm getting some coilovers in the near future so better to be prepared)

As for the exhaust, i would say go on youtube and find the clips. but imo it doesnt do justice (specially the Shockwave TDX2!!)
