Mod/ parts list.
Well I've been debating on putting this on here and finally said the hell with it sooo here goes nothin.. Opinions welcome!!!!
On the fence with trying to decide to go with the 5/16 copper ISO thermal plenum spacer or the 1/2 inch. Do they make a supporting strut bar that will fit for the 1/2" spacer? The reason for the copper iso pick is because of me living in ohio. Even though I store it in the winter month I still start it up and let it run so I figured that I would need the copper option.
2006 factory air box with a K&N drop in.
Lowering springs. The lowest I can find for these are like a 1.25" drop is that the lowest you can get with springs? ( I'm not worried, about tire ware, I get them for free through work, so it's not a problem.)
2006 factory head lights and tail lights.
Better brakes ( still researching those).
Exhaust: Way to many options - can't make my mind up.
*edited* Just started to think about an aftermarket lightweight radiator also; like a mishimoto, and better cooling fans. Will start researching those more.
Audio system.. Haven't really looked into that much yet but I will. I just know I want that **** bose system out of it.. Pretty pathetic how my jeep that has one working speaker is louder than my Z's.. SMH.
Pretty much all I can think of; off the top of my head so far. Would like more ideas, and opinions on things to add to the list. And to give me more ideas for the list I already have. Plan on starting to buy stuff for it once I put the Z in storage for the winter.

For Audio I have:

Kicker L7 10" Sub (Wishing I had gone with 12" L7).
ZX 750 watt amp. *edited*
For the '06 most people do the Motordyne plenum spacer as the first modification along with the drop in K&N intake. Good luck and keep us posted!

There has been some talk about these headlights on the forum.... I'm pretty sure it's these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-2009-NI...-/400586628422
Exhaust... maybe a single for the weight savings you'll get... not my cup o tea but something to consider. But definitely HFCs atleast.

You'd be surprised at how much more "oomph" you get from JWT pop chargers over the K&N filters.... i don't mean power, i mean it will sound more aggressive. Not gonna see much from K&Ns (or any intake for that matter) anyways even IF they could give you the gains they claim.

I've heard to many cons to pros about the JWT pop charger to really decide on it. I've heard the 06 factory air intake is about the best you can have. When I do decide on exhaust it's definitely going to be dual fo sho. I'm not big on single exhuast for Z i think they look akward..

Just search the build threads if your looking for different options. I'd list mine on here, but it's a couple pages long. There are hundreds of different ways to go with your build. IMO...keep it unique.
OEM fans are just fine , probably even better than most aftermarket setups. Radiator is always nice to swap out , make sure you ground it. Audio system, simple and light, easily done. It's a sports car, not ghetto thumping hoopty , just remember that as you plan a system.

I think if you could afford to, go for coilovers as you'd be able to adjust your drop by finite amounts whereas using lowering springs you're limited to the drop that is advertised.
You're right to go for the '06 airbox as it has the venturi stack and is much more efficient and is the only thing that will add a little power as well. Plus you don't have the problem with heat sink.

Yeah I'm definetly doing the 06 airbox, and the 06 head lights and tails.
I think that's a really good decision, even if it means you're rolling on the standard shocks for a while longer than you planned the end result will be so much better for you. You might be lucky and get 6 years plus out of the dampers like your Eclipse, or they might blow seals 2 weeks down the road. I'm also looking out for '06 heads and tails for my '04, they look so much better.
