350z vs super cars

to each their own. call it an econobox. call it a piece of sh*t. but your "super car" just got taken by a 4-cyl econobox. i was just merely answering a question posted by the OP
honestly, for me, i didnt buy my Z to have a pissing contest. if your car can beat mine, great. i bought my Z bc i love it and have respect for cars in general. look at some of those 240s....most of them, if not all, are ***-ugly, esp. with the front bumper missing/big intercooler setup, yet people don't dodge on them.
what's wrong with FWD? and btw, civic/crx hatchbacks became popular before fast and furious.
define "true sports car" and how a mazda miata would be considered one.

The purest sports cars I've ever driven were Mazda Miata's and air-cooled 911's. I like my 350zr better overall but it doesn't feel as direct as either of those two cars IMO. My heart sank when I realized I couldn't fit in an A/C 911 but my 350zr is close enough and I saved enough to buy a used Mustang GT as a second toy to satisfy the white-trash kid that still lives inside my brain.

A clever and experienced mechanic interested in performance can tune the 350/370z to approach the performance of the “exotics.”
You need to add a turbo for additional hp, remove some weight, swap out the tires, and improve the suspension.

Been looking for an NB2 Miata to play with. Want to see what all the fuss is about. The Z makes a good track car but feels big and heavy compared to some of the other cars I've owned.
