When I ordered it in April they told me no later than the middle to end of September.

It is now the middle of sept and I have not heard a thing.

This is pissing me off.

Hey, I had an exact ETA of 9/12, and my Z has shown up on the Nissan inventory list for several days now.

Still I have no Z, and the weather here is PERFECT. Soon it will start raining. AAAAH

(I have made numerous phone calls..to no avail)

 

I ordered a month before you pal so quichyourbitchin! No Z for me either.

 

ya I preordered in Jan, and actually left a deposit a the dealer 1.5 years ago. so stop complaining! hehe.

 

You definately have not earned the right to compalin yet! I ordered January 19 and was the first one at the dealership. Last week while I was at the dealership complaining, someone that ordered in May was handed the keys to his Z (same model, same transmission, etc.!) and then has the audacity to complain that "it took long enough!".

 

Do you know if your dealer faxed each order to Nissan as soon as it was placed? If that occured then I can't understand why Nissan would build two cars of the same model for the same dealer ship that in that sequence. ZISME mentioned that there was some priority being given to the early orders along with a number of other factors that he was not able to ascertain or pass along.

 

Ordered 1st at my dealer, 2/1, order was sent in immediately - still waiting. Supposedly an August build, but no VIN yet. I tried PMing zisme, but no response, so I'm just hoping my car shows up some day. I have to turn in my lease on 10/12, and never thought I would have to worry about being without a car back when I ordered it. Now I'll probably have to rent a car for a few weeks.

When you April and May people get to November and you're still waiting on your cars, then we'll feel bad for you.

 

I had been on the Nissan Preorder email list for approximately 1.5 years before I received the email from them on Thursday, January 17th telling me I could go place my preorder. I preordered the car on Saturday January 19th and said I would give them any amount of money necessary as a down payment ($3500), just as long as I got one of the first Zs. I even ordered the "Base" thinking that this would be the first to be produced and that I could upgrade later. Everyone in the dealership came to meet me and most were not even aware that the car could be preordered! I was told that the order was faxed the following Tuesday, January 22 after I called them with a friendly reminder call. I even called NNA and verified that they did fax it, but that was about 2 months later. My packet was number 222/10,000 so I thought I was doing fine.

The dealership I ordered from has two stores and both had the same model delivered to them with VIN #116 and 174. I got VIN #1569. Obviously something got screwed up along the way and I would love to know where it was. Where's my FREAKIN Z?

 

No VIN number yet? All of a sudden I don't feel as bad as I did!

 

I'm not complaining (really), but I do get tired of people who ordered late complaining about the fact that they didn't get their car yet. There are many that I know who ordered before I did that are in the same boat. We all have to be patient (if I keep telling myself that, maybe I will be)

 

Ordered 3/2 and still waiting with no information on delivery. So hang in there pal.

I Just got the call

Somehow this thread must have made it back to my dealer as I just got off the phone and my car will be here later today/tonight! He's going to put it on the express lane as far as getting the car prepped and said I can pick it tomorrow afternoon/night. He even said they were doing some "extras" to make up for the delay. This is why you can't really "GET f*%KING MAD" and start screaming at them because eventually you are going to have to deal with them when you pick up the car. I was "forceful" but not an overbearing jerk.

 

I feel your pain! But, I can't lose sleep over it anymore (literally)! Personally, I don't want to hear my dealers voice if he's not saying, "your car is here".
