Default 3800lbs!!???
These cars weight 3800lbs? ACK! I was checking the build date of my car and realized that it lists the weight just a tad over 3800lbs.

I thought they were 3400lb?

Man, those RX8s only weigh 3000!

dude, that GVWR! Thats the weight of the car plus the total cabin capacity weight. The real weight of the car is not written anywhere on the car.

Any idea what kind of substance they "pretend" to fill the rest of the cabin with? Just because foam might be a little bit lighter than........ say steel.

its the amount it CAN hold, not physicly, but structurally. the actual weight of the car varies from 3170-3250 depending on trim. then you can put about 600lbs of cargo and not hurt the suspension or anything.

I weighed mine at a truck stop for $8. With a full tank of gas, I came in at 3,260 lbs.

I came in at about the same at the track, adjusted for gear, and me. it had a full tank of gas. and that was with stock rims.
