I often meet these people who say "man im getting old man. i want something less ricey, more appropriate for my age" and when I ask them how old they are, they're like "i'm 27" lol
I guess when you're 27 you want to act like you're 40 and when you're 40+ you want what 27 year olds have but can't cause you got kids.
Keep the car, enjoy it until you have kids and have to sell it cause if you think you gotta give up a sports car cause you're too old for it at 25, then that's it. That's the end for you. You're not gonna have a sports car when you're 45 cause you'll be SUPER old for that.
WTF is this shyte... I'm 42 muthafcka, you say'n I'm SUPER old? Hell there's a guy in his 70's on this forum toting around in Z.

Z enthusiasts come in all ages, colors, and religions son.

I agree with this because have you seen the ages of Lambo, Ferrari, Porsche and GTR owners? She telling you to upgrade to man's sports car.

Is your car stock? If it is, I can see why selling it would be easier. I thought about selling my Z but then again I've come too far in mods to just sell it and go back to stock, boring. I has sentimental value so to speak with all the blood, sweat and tears I put in this car.

i'll give you an "amen" on that (45 yrs).

it also kills me when i see "I want better fuel economy". all my other toys average 6-10 mpg, so my "z" IS my fuel efficient vehicle at 24 mpg...

It's not really stock. I bought it bone stock which was a reason why I felt bad losing all that time and money. I added the CAI, HKS exhaust, Sick sound system.

I decided to keep her for another year.

NEVER be told what car you should/shouldn't be driving by your/any woman just as you wouldn't tell her what shoes/makeup she should be wearing or that she's too old to be wearing the clothes she has on. Age is immaterial. You're as old as you feel.

Stogey speaks the truth. I had a momentary lapse of reason where it crossed my mind and I quickly snapped out of it due to blood, sweat, and money put into the car to get it where I like it. Plus it is paid off so that **** ain't going no where.

Seriously tho, why would you let others force their views on you?
Especially someone who was supposed to love you for who you are, not who you will be?

Though, honestly, I would probably also give up the car for someone I love and care. But then it won't be because they don't like it. It would have to be for some other more sensible reasons.

'03 did not have a Grand Touring model.

LOL @ 25 being "too old" for a sports car. What is the age range of the typical Corvette driver? 50? 60?

Right now I'm not into dipping lots of money into the car. I did the bare necessities. Cai, exhaust, and sound system. I need my music. **** I'm still rolling on stockies. I don't plan on going mod crazy with the car. I already appreciate it for what is is.

Bought an 05 Z in 2007 and then sold it after 4 years. Missed it every day until I bought an 03 with low miles a year later.

I am 32 and if my wife told me I was too "old" for a sports car I.... Well I don't know what I would do. My wife tells me "if your car doesn't put a smile on your face then you drive the wrong car"

sold mine and regret it sometimes... I had an easy 60k in mine. If I wouldn't have supercharged it and added all the JDM craziness I did... I'd still own it now.
