Question Catalytic Converter Questions

So I'll start off by saying. If it isn't one thing it's another. That being said in the past couple of weeks I have replaced my whole clutch system and both o2 sensors on bank two. It all started with a bad slave cylinder. So I still have the check engine code for bank 2 sensor 1 and i also have a code for bank two cat below threshold. So I'm leaning towards a bad cat. I'm contemplating cutting them off and doing the non fouler trick. Opinions please?

Why not just get some cheap test pipes that have O2 sensor inlets. I picked some very nice used ones for $100 or so a few years ago. Cheaper alternative to replacing your cats..

I didn't even consider that. But that's an awesome thought. Did you leave your stock muffler and resonator?

I had an after market Y pipe and Greddy exhaust for years before I removed both them and went stock with test pipes. The test pipes did not set off any sensors with or without the after market parts. As for sensor lights... if its the cat then lights will be turned off otherwise the problem must be fixed elsewhere.

The note will be much louder, but nice with stock parts.
