So I bought my Z a couple months ago and it came with this carbon fiber lip on it. I have tried searching to find what company makes it and I cannot find one like it. I can find some that are similar but don't come with the belly pan part that mine has.

And with this last picture you can see that the whole piece is not carbon fiber, only the part that is visible when it's on the car is CF.

If anybody has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like a Varis... but the Top Secret and Varis both looked very similar. I know a company made a knockoffs but not exactly who it was. If it is a Varis, it'll have a label in the weave. The Top Secret came with an additional diffuser but not in one piece. Good luck.

I dont remember seeing Varis on it anywhere. Do you mean Varis would be like pressed into it or just stamped on?

 

I just researched the Varis lip and I found that mine is NOT Varis because in my first picture you can see where the lip goes up the bumper about an inch, the Varis one stays flat and straight

 

It'll have a white tag with the S/N and Varis logo... the more I look at it the more I really think it's a Varis.

Sure does... there's no stamping anywhere? I'm almost positive TS don't have any especially if it's an early model.

No there is no stamping on the top or bottom or anywhere, it's all smooth.



@GreenleafRacing The only way I would really want to sell it is with the bumper as a package because the bumper has paint chips from where the lip rubs the bumper. The only reason I would sell it is to get a nismo v2 front bumper.

 

Almost positive its a top secret. I've got the Varis lip and it covers the small lip under the grille, TS doesn't. Here's Alberto's TS carbon fiber lip...

 

Yea I'm pretty positive it's a Top Secret lip. They have all he same angles an everything. I'm not sure if mine is a knockoff but in person there isn't anything that would make me think it's not authentic

 

Look around for pics of authentic TP Rear Diffusers. If you can find a pic with a TS stamp on it or something like that, you might have your answer about yours. I honestly don't remember seeing any companies that made knockoff TS Front lips. But I could be wrong?

 

I couldn't find any knockoffs of the front lips either... It's more than likely an authentic that doesn't have the TS label interwoven in the CF.

 

Thanks for all your help guys. Just to get a ballpark idea for future reference what does a typical used TS lip like this sell for? Keep in mind this one has a fair share of scratches and the CF part could be redone.

One last question for you guys, what would be a price that I could sell this lip for if I decided down the road that I wanted to switch things up?

 

It's real hard to gauge. It looks awesome and I'd keep it but that's just me.

 

I agree that it does look very good but down the road I would rather get a nismo v2 bumper and if I do that I would have no need for the stock bumper and lip so I was just curious to see

 

Even though it's beat up I think you could get at least 100$ for it. the undertray with the trap door is a nice feature, people pay 175 for an aluminum undertray with trap door from Zspeed. Brand new CF lips without undertray are going for ~100$ on ebay.

You can post on the exterior marketplace here to get an idea what it's worth.
