I just bought, a new 2008 350z, automatic tranny..very impressed with the power....anyone know the factory hp on this tranny..vs the six speed..owned both..this auto tranny seems more faster??

 

with the hr motors 305 to the flywheel. did you used to have an older z?

 

yes,,was a 2007 silver...been trew a few z cars 2011 black nismo..was stolen...and a 2009....370z silver....but i feel the 350z is a real sports car...

 

Ive heard the auto tranny is faster than the 6 speed..u think this is true..ive had both...the auto seems way faster

 

it prob just seems faster since you dont have the second or two delay while changing gears

 

ok....i have a black z also...what size wheels you have...............did you do the air intake yet on your z

 

the kn flat..air filters, that go in the original air box...... anyone install them yet.....anyone know hp increase,,,I have had them on other past cars I owned was a great improvement in power

 

yes, i have the Takeda intakes, hp increase if any is minimal.

i have 18" wheels with 275/40 tires in the rear and 255/40 front

If not - OP, you're a fkn dumbass.

 

Do the Transgo Shift Reproamming. It will really wake it up. Shifts will be much more crisp. Will definitely help extend the life of the clutches. I installed it on mine. Barks the tires in 3 gears. Pulls really hard. Put a good full synthetic trans fluid. I am currently using Amsoil. Will also be installing an external trans cooler. Just doing these mods alone should be able to hold about 400rwhp if not more assuming trans is in good shape.

 

Are you using the stock wheels for those tires??
