It's not that bad man. Salvage title would have me walking away the second I heard that. But if everything was fixed well then you're golden.

From what I've seen with salvage vehicles some may have very low miles but that's because they sat for a long time or someone switched the cluster

The first z I test drove was salvaged, you could tell some body lines didn't match abd when you stepped on the gas it has a burning smell

Haha with the way the economy is that won't happen!

What kind of repairs did you need to put into it?

Just ziptie the plate so you can remove easily after the cop signs your fix it ticket, without having to drill holes. I get pulled over maybe once a year for no plate. Totally worth $25 a year to run without. Keep in mind I'm running stock motor/emissions.

Its not a $25 ticket in Cali, its like $125, and cops are looking for that, they will pull you over especially in a sports car, this is not the best time to fuuck with the state of California in any kind of financial dealings, you will get hit with the book or fuucked by the long dick of the law

OP run the plates, Zs look great with Cali plates anyways

That's strange. The last 3 I paid were $25. See my location.

Now if you don't want to correct it, that'll be $300 and some change.

Edit: You can't see my location if you're mobile. I'm in CA.

I've been driving with no front plate in Cali for about 5 years and only got a ticket for it once, and that's when my parking meter ran out when I was in court for a speeding ticket and wasn't able to go out to refill the meter. I've never been pulled over for it, I've never been given one when parked on the street other than te aforementioned time, and I've never been given one when I've been pulled over. And the total ticket for the parking and front plate was less than $75.

Maybe I'm lucky

I drive past a police station every day on my way to work. I'm not running plates at the moment just because I don't have the mesh on my bumper installed yet, I haven't had any problems. I pass like 4 cops a day. And I've got a loud *** exhaust and I'm a young driver. lol.

Or of course if you're unsure of wanting a plate or not, there's always the go-n-show license plates

Trav and others, in California if a violation is written as a “fix it” ticket you only need to show proof of correction and pay about a $25 dismissal fee and the court will dismiss the charge.

If it is written up as a regular violation, you’re in for a fleecing. The state has a 20% charge on all tickets, there are also special County penalties, State penalties, Municipal penalties, court facility fees, emergency medical services fees and contingent on the county more and more fees. Depending on the location, things like $25 front plate or seat belt ticket can easily become $125 charges in California.

Ok, but why would it be written as anything other than a fix-it? While what you're saying makes sense in theory, I just can't see why it would happen.

Complying with the law is always better than not. Driving around with something you know might get you pulled over can be a distraction, and there are already too many things that take your mind off what's important.

I think what she is saying Trav is that if you get the ticket and dont get it fixed, it can go over $125 with the ticket and the fees they add on

I think it looks great. The body kit is a little much for me but I don't know why anyone spends any time saying how bad or stupid someone elses car looks, its about how the owner wants it to look and what they like. Cars are about the customization and making it your own, if you like the kit and the wheels, then keep them. As long as it doesn't have tomany problems 10k isnt bad. The salvage title does make a difference though.
