I think the UpRev flash disables the NATS system in the car. That may make it "easier" to start the car.
Only if you want it removed.
I need to find this link, I know the car is not easy to steal. I figure it takes a tow truck or a well sorted thief to grab a Z, I also figure a well sorted thief is going after cars that are much more valuable or are more common.
I'd look into the gym staff. Possible that someone accessed his locker while working out, made a duplicate of the key pattern one day, then had a duplicate key made later, and then when he came back to the gym days later someone called an accomplice who had the key waiting. Then just drive away.
Not sure how they started the Z if they didn't have a key.
Anyone have insight into how this was done? Wanna keep my baby protected.
Hope they recover your brother's car,
Saved
Savedbygrace, it’s obvious you don’t have what they call a colorful background or checkered past. Because thieves don’t do such convoluted actions as you are proposing. Thieves have no patience for delayed gratification. They take much simpler more direct route; as in pry open gym locker, steal keys, go out to parking lot steal car. Gyms, large fitness centers, swimming/work-out centers will routinely suffer a rash of these type of break-ins. The most vulnerable are newly opened large community centers with gym, fitness, and swimming faculties. The patrons don’t know each other very well, the staff is new and inexperienced and the place isn’t very organized yet.
and this is why i run and do pushups, than again i have a lock for when i go to the gym if they break thru that, i will just write it off as a loss and commend them for their effort, they obviously needed my Z more than me.
