Question any suggestions?

Hi everyone, am hoping to pull the trigger on an '05 roadster this weekned. It only has 11,000 original miles/ 1 owner. This will be my first 350, anything I need to know, other than wonder why I waited so long??

just do it - as long as you have the money and arent going into a huge amount of debt…

any and every car you buy will have an issue and will have maintenance…that's life…I bought my 03 touring pikes peak white back in 2005 and have never regretted the decisions…I love everything about it…

If you want to be on the safe side, have a professional, 3rd party, independent mechanic look it over…will cost you $200 but may catch something…then google, craigslist, autotrader similar cars in your area to make sure youre paying a fair price...

To know whether it sounds good or not a bit more information would be helpful, i.e, tranny, price, and overall condition inside and out, maintenance records, and has it been sitting for a long period of time.

At less than 2000 miles per year, I'd want to check the service records. The car has spent a lot of time sitting and maybe stored off season. With regular fluid changes based on time rather than miles it should be OK.Also check the top fabric and operating mechanism -these can have issues. Good top dressings are available (Raggtop) and lube all the hinges and retractor gears. Fun car - good luck!

Just get it... I bought my z with 30k miles and never looked back. I store mine in winter though lol.

A lot of the z owners like to leave them in the garage to keep miles low or only weekend car

When it comes to 350z's here's a few things I wish I knew:
The 350z is known for tire feathering issues, oil consumption problems (I don't think this applies to your year), and bad window motors. Other than that I'd just make sure everything sounds okay and that the battery runs well. The interiors get scratched up really easily so make sure it's not scratched up on the inside.

As always do a typical look through the car to make sure everything is okay. This one has low miles so you should be okay but it won't hurt to check.

Tire feathering was only on 03-04 models, and oil consumption was on the 06 revups. Bad window motors are on every model.

Just test drive the car, take it to a mechanic to have it checked out and enjoy it, i could believe the 11,000 miles, i have heard of Zs on here with that low of mileage

The 05's are bullet proof. Probably the year with the fewest issues. Get it checked though, that's really low mileage, too low, lol. Then pull the trigger and enjoy.

De or hr it doesn't matter as long as you have the z. Stay away from rev up though

Yea the HR's are more powerful but Im pretty sure the 05's have the fewest issues. If youre not tracking the car youll never know the difference driving a DE vs an HR around town. 07's had the slave cylinder issues, stay away from 06 Rev Ups.

05 6MT have RevUp motor as well no? so it would be same issue if one wanted manual.

Nope, not correct. Only the 35th Anniversary with manual transmission and the Track models had the rev-up motor.
