Unhappy Hit & run :(

I dont believe I've introduced myself yet.
My name is Matt.
I purchased this 08 350z about 3 months ago with 22K on it.
I love it!
Unfortunately this morning I came outside to this

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/61489055@N05/12730556204/" title="Poor-Car by Matthew Leahey, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7397/12730556204_df1a6491e1_c.jpg" width="800" height="534" alt="Poor-Car"></a>
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/61489055@N05/12730075825/" title="Poor-Car2 by Matthew Leahey, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3777/12730075825_fcef1ee6b7_c.jpg" width="800" height="534" alt="Poor-Car2"></a>

Poor baby
Looks like its just the fender, the wheel and tire are fine.
I wont be able to put her on the lift at work until Tuesday, hopefully she is mechanically sound.

Almost looks like someone backed into it since they didn't get the mirror too, where you parked across for a driveway?

+1 on someone backing into it. I would be knocking on your neighbors doors.

Sucks that you were victim to ignorant drivers.

You are all correct, it was for sure backed into.
Last night I was parked directly across from my neighbors driveway.
I went and asked around and they said they didnt see anything suspicious and of course none of their cars were marked.

Just really bums me out. She is a 1-owner with no accidents and I've done nothing but baby her and show her all sorts of love!
I feel like my child just came home from school with a black eye

Any place in particular I should look for a fender?

How's the paint? If the paint is not scratched, you could try PDR (paint less dent removal) as another viable option.

pdr wont work on crease dents.

Look for an oem fender online and swap yourself. Not much more than $500 in damage most likely. Not worth going through insurance.

This, it was definitely from your neighbors driveway. Whether they are lying, it was a visitor/delivery, or just someone pulling a k-turn using their driveway.

Unfortunately this happens far too often.

*******s everywhere I will never understand the mentality of people who smash up cars then flee the scene because they don't want to take responsibility for their actions.

Yea I would much rather get a new fender rather than deal with trying to save this one, its got some insane bends in it.

I did ask em! He had no idea, felt bad too. All my neighbors are older-folks and its a nice community (for the most part) around here. Weve all lived here for years and I am positive they would come forward if they knew.

Just sucks

In the meantime, I figure since Ill have to get a fender painted, I might as well shave the license plate bracket off and get a front lip painted while I am at it

Women are just as horrible, back in my Baylor days I couldn't tell you how many girls I saw hitting other cars while trying to park. After they hit them, they'd back up and just right drive off.

I had just gotten my 280zxt back from getting the frame rails done, and stopped by my grandparents to say hi...
Walked out 10 minutes later to a dented quarter. Idiot across the street backed out of his driveway-into it, then drove off. When confronted about it he denied it-even though the rear bumper of his explorer was the same height as the wounds on my Z...and still had my paint on it.
Some people don't care or too ignorant a driver to realize they hit something.

In short, I feel your pain and hope everything works out for your Z.

1. Go through insurance....
2. If you don't have insurance go buy the fender and get it repainted or find a similar fender in the same color
3. People who damage other peoples cars and runs away is considered IMO a complete irresponsible coward.
