ordering a Z
My local dealer is recommending an order for me so that one of the cars that they had planned on getting in a couple of months fits my needs. Problem is, I've never negotiated the purchase of a car that I had to order, seems like I lose some leverage. Anybody order a car witha discount and, if so, what were you able to shave off of MSRP?

That's not bad. In another frame of mind (entirely...) I briefly had a thing for a Mercedes C320 Coupe with a 6-speed and then I heard 6 month+ wait. Didn't matter though since the research I did convinced me not to go down that road. The problems owners have with those cars far surpass the list of gripes here.

Upstate NY.
Off topic, but Lord Hesketh, a wealthy English eccentric, backed a Formula One team in the 70s. His is one of those fascinating stories from the world of International racing before the sport became so commercialized.
Anyhow, I should hear back from the dealer tomorrow. It's either a Z or an STi, and having come from a WRX, I'd prefer a change.
