i wanted to get the INJEN CAI for my Z and i was just curious how nissan dealers act towards it... cuz all my friends have VW's and Subarus and none of them get serviced at the dealer cuz of the CAI. do u guys know if nissan dealers are like thaT ? thanxx

 

Depends upon the dealer. Some might, I believe most won't. Wouldn't worry about it though, because they can't revoke your entire warranty just for that part. Now if you ingest water into the engine for some reason, then you can count on being in ****.

Shouldn't be a problem, if they hassle you, just go to another dealer and never go back!

 

My dealer actually installed a Nismo CAI on my Z as part to the deal to encourage me to purchase the vehicle and they told me that it would "NOT" void the warrenty.

i've been to 3 dealers in my area for service and none of them said a thing about the mods in there, i have an injen cold air too. All they do is if you take it in for a 7500 service which requires air filter exchange, they mark it as aftermarket so they don't have to touch it. So in a sense, they are better off with that stuff on there so we have to do all that maintenance ourselves.

 

NISMO Products (S-TUNE) does not void warranty but other brands might... look into it before doing it...

You can always install it, then when you have problems & need to take it to the dealer... replace it with the old one before bringing it in...
