My Z is in, impressions/Clearance ??'s
Well it's finally here. I was not able to take it home beacuase they still have to PDI it, but I got to sit in it and play with everthing, as well as crank it up and pull it around to the service area. While I was there I did all my paperwork so I don't have to mess around tommorrow.
First off, they had mine (ppw touring) and a Daytona Blue track.
Both look great and I don't think there is anything I can say about how great the car itself is that hasn't already been said.
Sitting still the bose seemed OK. Not great but not lousy. Granted I had the bass on -1 and the trebble on 4 so take it for what it's worth.
The inside looks good. I can see how some pesimist will say it looks "cheap" but I think the styling is appropriate for a car that starts at 27K. The NAV door is not flimsy as long as you don't try to manhandle the damn thing. I went with the charcoal interior an the leather is pretty nice. Not the best I've ever seen but FAR better than the worst I've ever seen. The bottom line is people who complain about the quality on this car are expecting a Lexus interior for 30-35 grand and are the type that are just looking for something to ***** about. Enough said.
Exaust note: Sweet
I'm 6'5" and had the seat all the way back. By doing this I had plenty of headroom. I wouldn't mind 1-2 more inches of leg room but the car fits me nicely.
My only concern with the whole car is the ground clearance. My driveway is at about a 30-35 degree angle at the bottom. Have any of you had any problems on slopes or with speed bumps?

zhubs-
haven't had any problems with clearance yet, and 30 degrees isn't that steep, so you'll probably be okay. Is the curb real high, because some people around here have problems - not with the driveway, but with the curb - and have to put a ramp type deal at the bottom of their driveway. Let us know how everything works out, and good luck! Congratulations! not to get off topic here, but...do you know if the daytona blue track was sold or was it available? Can PM me with the details so I can call them? Thanks!
