Who was the estimator? Somebody from the body shop or from the insurance company?

If it was somebody from the shop get your car the hell out of there.

Remember, the other person's insurance is paying for it so you can take it to the best place around. Don't worry about the cost.

At first glance, i thought you said you got rear ended by a Golf cart....wish it was a golf cart.

Thats easy you were rear ended 100% their fault, I would tell them to hurry up and fix the car how you request quickly cause you don't know if you are starting to get neck pain... And take it to the DEALER they will give you the highest quote possible sign over power of attorney and get it fixed right, or they total it, and you come out with a car and they pay the difference.

I would definitely get several opinions on your car. Too bad you aren't in my area. D&V Autobody is top notch in Virginia. Perhaps you can give them a call and see if they have any reputable contacts in your area. Good people tend to network in their respective areas of expertise...especially now in the information age.

I plan on taking it to a few other shops but they sent me a quote and damage cam up to 6 grand with the exhaust. Also not including the other quarter and side skirt. I also plan on going after the other parties insurance for diminished value of the car since the car fax won't be clean anymore and will have a wreck on it, which defiantly lower the value of the car a grand or two. Which leaves the total value at around 10k i think the car books for 15k which still is not enough to total it but with the skirt and other quarter it will be around 1500-2000 more. that will put the car a 80% of the total value which will total it.
Hopefully i can get a few other quotes this week. Most likely i will not be taking it too this shop.
Im in the illinois area around peoria btw if anyone knows any good shops in that area.

The guy from the shop and the other insurance company from the guy driving the golf has already said they take responsibly of the accident so now i just have to give them a quote and estimate to fix it or take it into their shop.

Get a minimum of 3 estimates. Insurance will take the average of the 3. So get 5 and take the highest 3. Then you will get a decent repair and not a quicky one.
