bit of a z-lema
Well,
I have a brand new Z on order and I found someone who is selling their Z with a ton of mods. He basically is going to want the same price as my new car. What's your advice? Should I cancel my order get the modded car? I will never put that much money into a car and I love it...here's the info:
My car on order: Touring with every option (nav, sattelite, etc).
Here is the info on the Used car: Touring with 13,000 miles on it. Bought 12/12/02.
Engine: Ultra SS Crank System, Stillen Dual Catback Exhaust, Aem Cold Air Intake. Lightened Flywheel. Custom Painted Engine Bay covers.
Exterior: Design Carbon Fiber Pillar Panels, Stillen Verions II body kit, Side Markers LED's
Wheels and Suspension: Volk Racing GT7's 18"x8.5 in the Front and 18"x9.0 in the rear. Toyo Prozies tires, Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs, JIC Rear Camber Kits and adjustable front JIC kit.
Sound/Video: In-Dash Panasonic Dvd player with 7 inch screen model dvdlv7200 custom installed, Speakers in the front are Diamond Hex 6 and 1/2 speakers and tweeters in the front, Speakers in the Rear are the 6 and 1/2 non component speakers, There are Two amps in the car first is a JL 500.1 and then there is a Accoustic 481QE 480x4, I have a PS2 and an Xbox in it as well, Custom Fiberglass enclosurepainted to the same as the outside of the car, this is where the subs are they are 2 Kicker Solobaric 10" L7's 4 ohms and also alot of Dyno mat in the car and I mean alot.
HELP PLEASE?!
I am leaning towards the coolness factor of the used car but having a completely new car...well...most of you know how that is.

I would stay new, buying a new used MODDED car isn't something I would do. That guy probably raped it with abuse from the mention mods he added. Buy the new one break it in yourself, and work on it yourself.
mods decrease value, not increase. if he wants to get money out of the mods, return it to stock. the "car" is worth the same price be it stock or modded.
modification show punishment, you dont modify a car and proceed to shift at 2000RPM.

NEW, Once you go Used You will never want to go back! Used Cars no matter how nice can always lead to a headache. Half the time someone is getting rid of a car is b/c they have had problems with it or just drove the **** out of it ......like me .... ha ha
hmmm....so not even any of you mod junkies out there think it's a good idea? BTW just to throw in a few more numbers...the Kelly Blue Book on his car is $31,900 (without factoring in modifications) and He basically wants about $33,000. My car new will be $34K...so almost the same price.
Also his car is a stick shift and mine would be an auto (forgot to mention that).
Damn...i'm hoping someone would talk me into taking the cooler car...hah

I paid 34K for my TRACK. Brand New.
The used Z has 13,000 miles on it.
in a year the used Z will have 25,000 plus
Get a TRACK you'll love the Sh%$#T out of it and you wont even think about the used and abused Z after you have it.
