Default leaving silencer/resignator on/off?

im getting custom Y-pipe and the question is should i leave the stock silencer/resignator on or off?

i also bought 2 tenzo R mufflers and i dunno if i should leave the resignator on and weld it there or weld the exhausts to the Y pipe alone.

No personal experiance, but I have read on this board of several people that removed the resonator, and that it sounded like a$$ afterwords. Very raspy and fart-canish. I think only one person liked it and kept it that way the rest put it back on almost right away.
