Default New Z Problem!!

I noticed today my "BRAKE" light won't go away. If it does, which is rarely, if I press the brakes moderatly hard, the light comes back on and stays on. I've tried disconnecting the battery, and I've checked the E-Brake several times..nothing is fixing it.. any clue what it could be?

Have you checked the brake fluid level?

As pads get thinner more fluid goes into the system so when you apply the brakes the fluid might be going below the minimum level triggering the light.

LOL, look at the brake fluid reservoir on top of the master cylinder. This is located under the black cover in the engine compartment on the drivers side, similar to the cover that covers the battery.

It is usually a warning for brake fluid. I'm not certain, but I had this same problem with my mustang.

I wasn't sure whether this was serious or not but then I realized it was Ricky and he probably has rarely looked under the hood let alone lifted those covers. Young kids

Default Come on

Give him a break, guys. Just because he doesnt service his own car has nothing to do with whether he is fit to drive it. Not all people are as technically enclined as many on this board.
