Then later when you want the cams you get em and then the new clutch and then reflash as many times as you want. I vote headers and standard tune now.
Yeah, I agree with you. I've only got 31k miles on it...

My vote...do it all! These are all good suggestions. I did a minor NA build before I went FI consisting of the following parts on my '07 HR:

Exedy clutch and lightweight flywheel
Injen CAI's
Tomei headers
Tomei test pipes
Tomei cams ( 264 in and out )
HKS HighPower exhaust
Nissan 4.08 FD
Tuned with COBB AP

It only made about 50whp more ( baseline dyno was 254, we got 308 out of it after ), but it was a completely different beast. Car pulled like crazy on the top end, and the gears were awesome. Good luck with your build.

To me that's some pretty nice gains, I'd be thrilled with that. However, the advantage is that you have an HR. Mine is an '06... I don't think I'll ever see 308

I have a Central 20 3.9 final drive in my 350Z and I must say I love it. So much more fun to be able to always be in the powerband, especially after an upshift. Plus shorter gears make the car pull through gears faster and make the car feel faster and be more fun to drive. The downside is pretty bad gas mileage and high rpms on the highway.

Got a link?

....It wasn't a total waste of a search though....I came across a hilarious thread about a girl ricing out her Z in pink (smh).

Btw...DAAAAAAAAAAAMN your suggested pumpkin mod is expensive. I think I might go for it though. I need to call around for some labor estimates first.

Since I'm changing the gears and diff do I need to do the clutch now too, or can I wait till mine takes a dump?
the gears and the diff make it fun to drive, turn off traction control and you will really see the difference the diff makes. yeah it is expensive but you have to pay to play. you are getting to the point, like i am, everything is going to be really expensive.

Agree. I remember when I started out with only the Injen CAI, and Greddy Evo2 catback with Tomei 3.9 fd and 2 way LSD. That thing was hauling, with stock wheels and tires. You definitely can feel the different with the LSD and gears.

Glad to see you are headed in the right direction. Didn't know where you were at when you asked about the ART pipes, can't wait to see where you end up!

OS Giken or Quaiffe will be my next diff. Too much maintenance on the Carbonetic.
