I just used Stainless self tapping machine screws. The bumper is hollow and I had no problem drilling it. I did not use any sort of glue. I will check it prior to winter storage and if anything is getting loose I'll apply a little locktite.

ExtaZ, did you need to remove the dash to get the wires to the nav area? I know that you neededto remove the center console...

Also, Where is the ECU?! Any idea?

I did not need to remove either the dash or the center console when doing my installation. The wires for the Escort SRX are terminated with RJ11 (Phone cord type connectors). I carefully drilled a hole toward the back/bottom on the left side of the empty Nav. space and fished the cable for the display unit through and out under the dash on the driver side. The antenna wires entered the car on the passenger side and I also fished these behind the dash to the driver’s side. The rear radar shifter antenna wire runs under the poly in the spare compartment then is stuffed under the plastic trim pieces and kick plates up to the driver’s side under the dash. Under the drivers side dash I have everything plugged into the interface box.

I have not really looked for the ECU and it did not jump out at me.

Hope this helps,

JTF
