Default Electronic Service Manual

A friend of my father's gave me a CD-ROM called the Electronic Service Manual. Out of curiousity, what does this CD retail for? Thanks.

So nobody knows if I got something really neat for free? I'm curious what they cost and if it is helpful or not.

Sounds like it's a service manual in electronic form, written to CD. Is it specifically for the 350Z? I found a site that sells ESMs for the XTerra, and they're asking for something ridiculous, like $240.

I also found people selling these on eBay for about $10.

I bought one on ebay for $10 but I felt quilty since it makes others pay more. At least I'm not the guy selling them.

They were $300, oops I think $350 from the dealer or the Nissan web site. And we have been very good about not trading them here. Nice Service Manual.

IF the REAL SErvice manual from NISSAN is about $300.00 Getting a copy on Ebay might save you money, but it's going to be a pirated copy. The same goes for downloading it.

I would ASSUME, someone bought an original and simply ripped the files off the factory CD and burned some copies to a CD-R...

CD Version (2003)

Printed Version (2003)

When they are charging $210 for a CD (and don't include it for an extra $10 with the hardcover version) it is no surprise that there is such a large market for pirated versions. Personally, it seems idiotic to charge that much for a CD. If they charged $50, or something along that price, there would be much less pirating going on.
