The splitter rods are used to support. I feel its functional as well as dope as fck lol. I honestly do not see a difference in performance with any combination of the splitter on/off, canards on/off, and with the splitter rods in front of the canards.
That's awesome! Can't wait to see the finished product! Mos def it will be super clean. But why are you making a trip all the way from SD to LA?
Instagram referral, with car parts and installation for my Z, I feel more comfortable with asking others who have had good experiences with shops or companies rather than to look and look to find places who are not sure what they are doing or what I need done. This shop is located in Garden Grove which is in Orange County, they are painting the lip and installing it, for less than places down here. After this I will be on the lookout for brake rotors, my rear ones are rusted but might as well change all 4, go big or go home lol.
So on my way to work I ran into a tire 😭 Ruined my splitter rods and had to get a new front bumper. I'll be using this one as my daily
While installing my new front bumper, I decided to finally do my interior. Wrapped the rear tower Z cover and my head liner with a diamond black stitched fabric. Thank you to the helpful forms and DIYs. Super satisfied with the results.
Now just looking for a good shop to paint my front bumper.
Happy Saturday everyone!!

Love this car! I've seen it floating around social media but didn't know your build was on here. I also love all the hate it gets too. Like some one saying you're buying all eBay parts when you have carbon fiber, 3 piece wheels, and air...that was definitely super cheap right. Love the splitter on the V2, wanting to do the same thing. Poor Cali people can't go supercharged it sure is a shame...I'm from there I know the feeling. Keep up the good work!!
I went through all the pages. Not my cup of tea, but I can see much effort and attention to detail was put into it. I cam appreciate that. I do like your wheels. Your engine bay build also looks clean. Good luck and have fun...

Hello there! Thank you, I appreciate it. What really matters is the passion for the builds. There are cali legal superchargers and I am planning on doing that next year or in the next couple of months.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I finally added the weapon R tanks and it looks much cleaner. When I have time i'll add the dress up bolts. Thank you again
Leaving off when I did have that accident, my front bumper was painted at my buddies shop, reinstalled my canards and added my new APR front splitter with password JDM winglets on the side. So far satisfied with the look, but might change it up next year.
I also installed the CF tunnel hatch, new trunk mounted wing CF, and added custom rods with the trunk mounted wing. Also added new taillights and reverse lights.
Linked up with my buddy and we finally did my wood trunk setup. We have a unique trunk in that its super curvy, but we made it work.
Really wanted my rear to sit even lower and had the time to redo a fender roll.
Now she's sitting how I want. Next time I will lower the front.
Installed the new Weapon R tanks. Fairly simple, but a little messy. Went ahead and did a power steering flush while I was at it.
Many more mods to do, but I will take it slow because of show season.
Happy nurses week!

Thank you Mic, I really appreciate it man!
Still not done nor satisfied, have some things planned for this winter lol
Long time no see, been real busy with life and such lol. Just bought a 17 WRX and a house :X
Right after wekfest, I started having a timing problem. Did a compression test and had solid numbers on all cylinders. Took off the timing chain cover and saw that a guide and a tensioner had went bad. Replaced the timing chain, guide, and tensioner.
While we were there, we went ahead and did a small wire tuck and installed the baid polish valve covers. Big thank you to Z1 for overnight shipping of the new valve covers.
After the install, Sally was running fine and we made it to Wekfest San Jose
