After all these years, it's still a blast to drive. The VQ35HR motor may not put out as much power as a VQ37VHR, but it sure is a lot smoother.

That's gotta be the most awesome description I've ever read!

And perhaps the reason I drive a car matching said description.

Yeah yeah, "in my own mind".... HAR!

The turbocharger

But really, in stock form - I would say the exhaust note. That has changed a bit since though, still one of my favorites.

Really?
I'm satisfied with mine, I should be, I've owned it for over 11 years but a Mustang GT or Camaro SS pulls way harder IMO, it's been awhile since I've driven the Camaro SS, I rented a '12 SS convertible while I was in CA for a month and it had a ton of torque, I've driven the newest iteration of the Mustang GT too and it felt stronger than the Camaro.

Thought of a another thing on my drive home from work this afternoon...I love how the Z on the rear strut tower bar reflects in my back window. Doubt it was intentional but it's a very cool thing and I've always dug it.

Likewise, a lot of people complained about the strut bar when the z was released but I love it and I love seeing it's reflection in the glass.

Agreed. This car has had some of the best notes I have ever heard or had. From stock to agency power, nismo S tune, modded nismo S tune, tomei expreme and most of all my favorite is my HKS rep. Yes rep. It is by far my favorite sound. Very nsxish. Lower volume no drone no rasp!

Yeah I miss that feature on my 07, had it on the 03. Would come in handy now that my tpm light is on.

Agreed- real time tire pressures on my '03 track model helped in time trial sessions. Once you left grid, you could monitor the rising pressures on the out lap and be assured the R-compound tires were well and truly hot and sticky when the pressures popped up. After that, it was a matter of being as precise as possible and pushing HARD on the next few laps to gain the best time possible.
