My 350Z is my daily driver and my 4x4 truck with a camper is my weekend toy to go surfing in Baja or snow sking in the mountains.

First, I started out thinking of getting a used sentra to drive to work to keep the miles off my expensive but aging truck I dont want to replace. Next, I thought, "why not just get a new sentra?". Next, i realized the Z was coming back out and thought I should just spend another 10K and get a really fun car to driver rather than a SER Sentra. Now you know how I came to having a 350Z "economy car".

The Z didn't start out as my daily driver but it turned into the daily driver. I only use the other car now when I expect to carry more than 2 people or need the extra hauling space.

When I bought my Z, I kept my 4 cyl. Ford Probe just so that I'd have a car to drive when the weather was poor, or I needed a back seat. I plan on enjoying my Z most of the time, though.

 

I have a 2002 S-10 ZQ-8 (Xtreme without the bodykit) as a daily driver, regular cab, v-6 auto, and it screams, but I'm shifting to driving the Z more since its so much fun and I never use it other than track, auto-x, drag or group meets.
