350z - Wrapping in Satin Blue Metallic
Hey everyone,
Just purchased a 2003 350z with 156K clicks on it. Black in color.
Preparing it to wrap in black chrome with gloss black trims and roof.
More to come later.
Cheers

Headlights will be medium tinted. Maybe 50%.
Taillights, yes I got the OEM ones that I will be installing and tinting them gloss medium tint as well. These aftermarket ones look ugly.

I used the Turtle Wax kit on my 1993 B13 and it came out great. Then I finished it off with Mother's Plastic Polish.

Absolutely right.
I did my Pontiac G8 Matte black this year and it was piece of cake with temp around 32.
With chrome, very very difficult even in 32 degrees. I've got heaters running at high close to 3 feet from the wrap, when working on it and came out awesome on the top panel.
Once am done the hood this week and trunk next week will post pics.

You've seen 2 pics only. There is rust on the right rear quarter panel that i need to take care of. The weather stripping on the rear windows was almost peeling off. This was fixed yesterday.
The guy had it listed for $7,000 but came down to $4,500 because he knew it needed a complete new paint job which would run around $3,000 here in Calgary. Well, wrap cost me $700, my labor and let see what the end result in.

Well guys, here is the update.
After trying on the hood, I tried cleaning the wrap using soap water and micro fiber cloth. It left very light scratches and marks. And no way to make them even by reheating.
Not worth it. I did my Pontiac G8 years ago in matte black and still looks amazing.
So, in short Chrome looks good but on a car that is driven 3 - 4 times in year. I am now planning on doing it satin matte blue metallic with all trims and mirrors in gloss black.
What a waste of time and money.
