We need to know the price you are going to get it for. If cheap enough, I would buy it as a project but to be a DD probably not.

The car is from Copart, so it is an auction, salved title also. not sure what it'll go for, I was planning to DD also, by what I'm seeing it sounds like I need to bounce. It had my preferred color combo so I thought it was worth a shot

Says it's a salvage title... which is pretty obvious anyway.

Estimated repair: $11,398

That's quite the figure. From the marks on the rear bumper cover it looks like it was hit in the right rear corner. A good bit of that "estimated repair cost" is likely the airbags, but I'd assume frame damage as well. I'd run far away from it unless I could bring a good body shop guy in to look at it before bidding, and even then salvage cars can end up as rebuilt tire shredding deathtraps if everything isn't properly brought back into line.

That site is pretty nice, though this one may make some a little sick:

Nismo #9, totalled with less than 9000 miles on it... and it looked pretty when it was recently sold: http://www.greaterchicagomotors.com/...nois/10454369/

I'd say that is pretty accurate, maybe if you do the repairs yourself you could save some money. I hit a dear with my car. New front bumper, dashboard, airbags and carbon radiator support was around 11gs

The dashboard and air bags alone will be about 3k

I'm blown away by how much money you guys are estimating for repairs.

Not too long ago, insurance likely would have totaled my car after a drift accident. Parts that were damaged: bumper, radiator, radiator support, power steering bracket, oil pan, sway bar, sway links, sway mounts, sway bushings, catalytic converters, and my driver side header got bent and started touching the steering knuckle. Total repair cost: $900ish without replacing the bumper.

I bet I could get that z back on the road for less than 3k.

I doubt the repair costs will add up to 11k, highly doubt that, if the car goes for a cheap price I will def jump on it.

So did you price everything out? Have you looked at underside of the car?

Is it worth YOUR TIME AND YOUR EFFORT to fix it? Or will you PAY someone else to do it. If you know what you are doing, you could probably save thousands when fixing it. But sounds expensive to me!!

ON second look of the pictures, it doesn't seem too bad, but price out replacing replacing quarter, air bags, and the suspension to see where you are at.

my dad owns a bodyshop/mechanic shop, so labor really won't be an issue, I'm not saying the work will be for free, but it will be cheaper.. only concern seems to be the suspension parts of the car because of the "camber" going on.. really on the edge about this Z.. more feedback if possible guys please, and if the car goes for less than 2k i will jump on it.. still worth it, or no? also, peep the rear bumper in the picture, it dosent seem to be hit.
