Default 07 350z rear ended help!!!!

what up guys, my first post on this forum, my first experience with the Z culture..
i recently found an 07 350z in an auction, it is a rear end collision, and 2 airbags have been deployed on the right side passenger door, I'm a newbie when it comes to 350z's so i needed some advice to whether or not i should go about buying it and fixing it, here are some pics, any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

as far as i can see by the pictures it docent seem to be that bad, other than the airbags being deployed,. what do you guys think??

As travlee said, what's the status of the title? I would like to assume that since it is a crashed auctioned car, it was totaled and would be a salvage title.

In my opinion, I would never buy a salvage car for the street, only a track car.

I wonder why only those airbags went off. Don't know much about how the system works but I would think either all of the airbags would go off or none of them.

Without knowing how much you would be paying for it we can't make a very good decision... If its say $1500 then yes if its $7500 then no.

Passenger quarter is probably toast which is very hard and expensive to replace. The right wheel is hanging at an angle so it has mechanical issues as well. Move on. Seems like this one is dead for a reason

Agreed... If it has a salvaged title, walk away and keep looking.

Are we looking at the same pics? That really doesn't look too bad. The airbag and seatbelt parts are way $$$, though, and I can't even guess why the passenger side bag was triggered.

My '08 had its front bumper clipped while i was sitting in my driveway waiting to pull out ~3 years ago. The damn steering wheel airbag smacked me right in the face and broke my right thumb. I needed a new hood because the front edge was slightly wrinkled, and a new bumper, but no other body parts, not even the headlights. With the bags and belts, the bill was just over $7k.

How is that damage "almost identical"? That car's been hit in 3 out of 4 corners.

That cars not so bad. Depending on the price. I would get it. Some junk yard parts and some time you would have a sweet z worth $5500...

Both rear quarter panels/frame are bent near the bumper supports and the rear wheels just look off. It was enough damage to total the car $8000 maybe? it might be fixable without replacing the quarter panels.

You need to get under that and see what damage was done to the subframe and its mounting points. This is a no unless you have a frame puller.

lets run thru the numbers.

car 700.00
rear bumper with clips and hardware 150.00 (junkyard only)
remove interior air bags and plastics. only replace plastics 55.00 (junkyard only)
now for the fun stuff!!
rear ended means possibly new diff bushing alignment new tie rods end rods end links and bushings. about 1700.00 + / - 500.00
trying to get the car to drive straight about another 4000.00
no to mention all the other issues you might find form the previous owner.

the pic of the rear of the car showing the passenger side. the rear wheel looks like the caster and toe are way off not to mention the camber. also look at the front wheel from the pics the camber is off and also looks like the toe might be off.

also look at the front driver side wheel. looks like more damage to the suspension. **** must of gone off roading.
