I recently purchased a 2003 350z and was looking to do some mods to it and was looking for suggestions.

I dont want to do like any mechanical mods. I am on a budget so looking for the best mods for under around $200 or so..

Let me know what you suggest...

Nismo stickers. As many as possible. Also, lots of,plastidip - mirrors, wheels, emblems, door handles, etc. And, eBay has great body kits. Don't bother using the search feature on this site, or reading other threads - trust me, this is all you need to know.

About all you can do is change out your shift ****. Your better bet is to save the money to put toward your next set of tires, which you'll probably need in a year, not kidding.

If $200 is all you have now, you're going to need to keep saving about $200 every two or three months....just for tires. The Z is high torque rear wheel drive...all cars like that wear through tires, we all will vouch for this.

Enjoy your car, but save and plan.

i think what you should do is buy this,

a turbo whistle that you can attach to the exhaust pipe so you can imitate a real turbo bov. all the "ahem" car enthusiasts on this forum are into it nowadays...its only like 5 bucks also. this mod alone will beat all the evos and stis and is rumored to add 50 hp....

you should also buy a K&N cold air intake you will definitely feel a huge increase in power. A whole 7 hp and 7 tq...... it costs about 100 bucks on ebay you will be able to beat nissan gtrs, dodge hellcats....the whole bunch.....

you should also wrap your roof and front hood with carbon fiber vinyl wrap "i hear" it adds so much more downforce so your car will be even faster when drag racing.....

All of these are on Amazon when you SEARCH "350z"

Rear hatch cargo net -40$ on Amazon

Nismo floor mats with the black rough insert where your heels will rest while driving- 60$

Nismo shift **** gloss black-60$
Or the carbon fiber one -100$

10k headlight bulbs on Amazon too - 15$ for a pair

White led interior/exterior light kit - 12$

Shorty antenna- 10$

A little research goes a long way in this forum. Just a heads up.

Edit: I personally, have bought and used/using the items I listed

How many miles are on this z33 that you just purchased?
You should probably be saving for scheduled maintenance.

When little kids think they can build a 350z for the same price as a civic.

Seriously.... if I only had $200 for stuff for a "new-to-me-Z", I'd get myself a nice polisher and a bunch of polishing pads, polishes and sealers and go to town with it.

I asked Santa for that - and she put dat in my fishnet stocking hung on the fireplace with care - and when I get back home, I'ma go nuts, starting with my Volvo, which needs it most. Then, after I learn the ropes and manage to remove all the swirls I put on that car, THEN I'll hit Oh-Three-Z33 with it.

Thanks for those who have actually been helpful and not just sarcastic and rude. I know its not alot of money but I am just looking for some small cosmetic and small things I can do to improve my car. I did search the forum before I posted and I had done a lot of research before even posting this and was unable to find anything helpful.

What needs work?

I get that and while I ended up with a Porter-C, Menzerna and other stuff, one can still find decent stuff that does a good job (or do it by hand ) for less. Harbor Freight polisher is OK, off the Pep Boys shelf polishing stuff, etc. May not be concours finish but better than just letting it sit there and rot.

Point: make the car look nice - as is - and be happy with it.

I also concur with the opinions on saving for needed stuff like tahrs and insurance but wanted to suggest something "fun" with a nice result given the budget.

Not everyone can afford 18 wheels and tires. You waiting for the next paycheck for the last two?
