2008 350z nismo vs 2008 350z HR?
OP - based on your posts, it seems like you have A LOT of homework to do... and I'm not talking about going FI. I'm talking about your deadstock nismo that you seem to know nothing about. My advice: slap on the bolt-ons... pop-charger/K&N filter, exhaust (headers/y-pipe/testpipes/hfc), plenums, etc. + a tune... and of course suspension if you wish... also think about WEIGHT REDUCTION aka lighter wheels. And yes... with the total cost of these mods you might as well go FI but there's no point if you know nothing about your car and just "street race" which you shouldn't be doing anyways ...but hey money over everything so if you got it then go get it.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the nismo comes with a different flywheel? I think I read somewhere it comes with a lightweight flywheel. If that is the case I would say straight line Nismo will be faster, but then again slowed down in acceleration by the 19s it comes with factory in the rear.
On track, the nismo will be faster than a normal HR period. Not because of the aero, but because of the seam welded chassis.

As far as the acceleration, well, the thinking there is a tad flawed. In theory, the Nismo's slightly shorter tires (vis a vis all other trim levels except the GT of same year) should allow it to accelerate a tad faster (hardly measurable). And since someone's going to ask, they're 0.38" shorter than factory 18s and weight difference is negligible.
As such the Nismo's 0-60 (standard measurement of acceleration via external timing, not on-board coupled with telemetry like they do it in Indycar and F1, laff
Frankly, any Nismo owner telling you or even thinking the car is faster than any other is suffering placebo-induced-self-delusion by all the aero junk on it.

Are you joking? I'm calling bs on this whole "race team" if you don't understand what people mean when they say LSx. First off learn more about Z cars (cars in general) and racing. Then do your bolt ons, get a tune and see where your at. Realistically if you want to drag race an awd car go get a subie, evo or r33, otherwise look at cars with solid rear axles, mustangs and camaros. Trying to launch a RWD car with an independent rear suspension against an AWD or one with a tubular rear end is futile if power output is similar.
No, Nismo powertrain - including flywheel - from engine in front to final drive out back is identical to all other same year models.

) time is 5.3 to the other trims' 5.4. And that all depends on who's testing and where you read it. But who's counting? Technically speaking, again, it's a wash.

Lol loving all the fast a furious quotes on here. They made my day reading this post. Most of the time I get on here to look up actual car stuff the rest of the time it's for comedy hour!!!! Lol good stuff. Dude you don't have to lie about so called race team. If you call a group of teens that have cars that go drive around town and hang out at the car wash at night a race team. Then we have all been in a race team.

Under what section can you write what you want under your name? Or do you have to be a premier member to do that? I am not a premier member and I don't think I have that option available. But anyways I found out it was a membership group name.

Lolz @ street "race team"...
As for twin turboing your nismo...don't. The nismo is a special edition of the 350z, and a collector car in its own right...i'd leave it as is.
But if you still really want to do it...it'll be more than you can afford pal. Ferrari.
