Suggestions on Evo-R order that never came.
Nothing current found when I searched for Evo-R thread posts, so maybe someone can offer insight?
I ordered a part from Evo-R website as of Dec 1, the tracking number that was returned seems to be Taiwan in origin, and of course is not recognized in the USPS system. As of today (1/12) I still do not have the product nor has Jay returned any of the phone calls or emails I have sent.
Has anyone purchased anything from Evo-R lately, and are they still operating as a "business?" Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks.

This seems to be a common theme for Evo-R. They do a lot of off-shore manufacturing and it takes time for their products to arrive. I haven't purchased anything from Evo-R, but since Jay is their only point-of-contact, it's a common refrain. Keep in mind, Evo-R looks like a small biz and Jay does travel back and forth, so he may not always be reachable. Still, if you're really impatient, I think your only recourse would be to appeal to your CC and dispute the transaction.
My advice for the future. Only buy from their ebay listing. He acts more professional there because of the negative effects of bad customer service on ebay. And it is a lot easier to get your money back as well. I took that advice way back and my transactions with them have been flawless.
Thank you both for the responses. I don't mind the wait for the product, I do however mind poor customer service. My main concern was making sure evo-r was not defunct.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

The advice thus far is solid; only order from his eBay store. There are multiple threads on this forum regarding his business practices when ordering from the website. Personally, I ordered a lip from his eBay store and had a smooth transaction. FYI: be prepared to wait for shipping from Taiwan.
Do you guys not use credit cards? Anytime I order from a questionable source, which isn't often. I use my AMEX card. They absolutely take no cr@p from vendors and refunds are quick and painless.
OP, that sucks. Good luck, I think you might be able to get ahold of Evo-R on the 370z forums. It says they (Jay?) were online today
I always use PayPal. They saved me from a potentially HUGE loss (along with the help and support of this forum). I believe you have up to 45 days from the date of purchase to file a claim against a seller, and with all the new requirements to even have a PayPal account in the first place -- it's by far the safest outlet to use in my book
Credit cards can also help out

PayPal will side with you, just sucks that you have to wait out the claims process now. Usually they give the seller an opportunity to provide a solution to the problem/make things right, but I would just go with getting your full refund back at this point
I ordered through website a few years back and item was shipped from Asia and took like 3-4 weeks, everything was good when it did. Tracking didnt really show anything till it hit US soil and some others said it also would take 2-4 weeks more if it was a part that wasnt on shelf because they had to wait for enough orders to make a batch.
I always ask myself this when I see one of these threads. My CC companies always take care of me.
I've gotten money back on legit purchases that I did not recognize(I obviously had to pay it back becuase I was wrong)but, it's so easy to file a claim and CC always side with you if you're being truthful.
