Default First look at my baby

My salesman called me after lunch saying they got invoiced for my car, and it's due any day now. We went over the figure$ again and advised me to arrange financing.

Went to my credit union; confirmed loan approval; was advised to get purchase order (PO) from dealer signed by finance manager; and they'll process the paperwork.

Went to my dealership after work to pick up PO, and my salesman leads me to service area.

THERE SHE WAS.

I kept my cool and showed just a little emotion. I was told PDI may take a couple of days; they want to make sure everything works, especially the nav unit. They're not putting on front license bracket. I also asked them not to wax the car.

I'll go back to take pictures tomorrow and check on their progress. I was promised it will be ready for pick up Friday. Then I can really jump for joy. :

pdi does not even take a full day. i think you need to babysit them. either their using it for a show car in the meantime, or just using it enrich their knowledge about the features/details.

notice i did not mention they would be pulling nasty doughnuts and long-*** burnouts... (oops, i guess i just did.) have fun waiting for it!

PDI should take about one hour. The tech usally gets paid by the car and if I remember correctly its 1.3hrs per car.

My PDI took about 4 hours. I had them wax it too.

As I was waiting to finally get the car, one of the salesmen asks me where it is. I say, "I don't know, you tell me. It's somewhere in back." And he says, "Oh, the techs must be doing donuts with it" and basically stops my heart for a moment.......

Talking

My PDI was done in two hours. I got a call yesterday at 4pm as they were unloading the car from the truck. When I arrived at the dealer (around 6pm), it was ready for a test drive to the gas station for a fill-up. By 8pm, I was cruising home.....

Default gas guage

My '88 had a white "Empty" needle and then a red one would come down and give you about 4 more gallons. What happens
when you get to empty on the 350? I believe someone mentioned a
digital thingy in another post but when does that come on and where is it?
(oops! I meant to make this a separate thread)

Thanks, guys. I'm calling the Sales Manager as soon as they open today. I didn't want to rock the boat last night. I asked for the P.O. without prior notice, plus I saw that no one could work on it last night anyway. But I'm definitely planning on getting it today.

It wasn't a question of financing either; I also have a blank PeopleFirst check on hand.

Counting down the hours until ...
