Cool Street Standards 1JZ 350Z Engine Swap.

As the trend of engine swaps into Nissan Z chassis have never been more popular. Street Standard is jumping off the LS swap train, and utilize another engine platform for our latest 350Z engine swap! With many years of hard miles and abuse we figured it was time to lay the popular VQ35 to rest. After numerous hours and late nights Street Standard decided to use a power plant that's efficient, cosmetically appealing, and that will also give our Rocket Bunny 350Z an extraordinary presence both in show and performance. The 1JZ being utilized in our engine swap is outfitted with 800cc fuel injectors, HKS upgraded turbo, After Market Top Mount Manifold, and other miscellaneous engine components that will allow our 1JZ to be capable of running at a comfortable 550whp. Street Standard imported the 1JZ engine directly from Japan, as well as sourced all components to allow for the perfect fitment into the Nissan 350Z chassis. Street Standard is wanting to show case the wide range of products and work that we can offer. This Rocket Bunny 350Z is the pillar of the Street Standard capabilities, and is sure to capture the hearts of all enthusiast world-wide.

Thumbs up The 1jz is coming!

This is our test to see what is going to be our best bang for the buck. There is only a handfull of 2jz swapped Z's across the world, and we wanted to do something a little bit different. We have access to a great supply of 1jz's that we will be able to offer to our customers to make this swap more feasible.

Not only that the 1jz's unique sound gives us that fuzzy feeling especially when the boost hits .

Street Standard prefers to build our cars in a special way to show case what we are capable of doing. We also don't want our customers to be test dummies for special projects like this. We want to do it the correct way, and then offer the knowledge and expertise to all of you guys!

I understand this is probably more about power than anything but, do you plan on cleaning the install up a little? The wiring is more what I'm talking about. Also do all the oem gauges function?

Yes, and Yes. We had a date with the Tuner for Today, and we rushed a few things on the harness just so we will be able to make the tuning time. More then likely we will move the battery to the back, and clean up the engine harness. Also we made a jumper harness from the AEM to the factory ecu so we can use all the stock gauges.

Awesome. Good to hear. Please know I wasn't trying to be like most members here and be a jerk. I'm extremely interested in 2j swapping my 08 therefore I try to pay attention to all these details. So far, good work guys! Keep it up!

Time for a tune! We hit up Tony at UMS Tuning here locally in Tempe Arizona for that Top Notch treatment. Here's a sneak at the exhaust note!
