Ordering update
Well, today I got confirmation that the order number given to me is valid (ya-hoo! 
) and that it is possible and up to the dealer as to whether or not they choose to order a vehicle to a customers specs from their allotment.
Anyways, a big thanks to Shingle Springs Nissan in CA for their professionalism, honesty, and fairness (I'm getting my Z at MSRP).

PS If anyone is curious, I ordered on Sept. 8, 2002, with a build time sometime in October, and expected delivery in December.
