Oil pressure sensor port crack - simple fix
The prior owner of my 2007 350z overtighten the oil pressure sensor and cracked the port. I've read many threads about this problem. The solutions offered were JB Weld, re-tap, weld, plug the port and use an oil filter sandwich adapter, or replace the upper oil pan.
Obviously the best fix for this is to replace the upper oil pan. Since I currently don't have the time or money, I came up with a simple solution that cost me nothing. It's been several months and not a drop of oil. If it fails in the future, I'll post an update.
Using a Dremel, I cut a grove in the aluminum (see picture) so I could put a hose clamp around the port. I used Teflon on the sensor and hand tightened it, then an addition half turn with a wrench.
This worked well with the port configuration on my 2007. I've seen other years with different configurations that may or may not work.

I have this issue. I tried JB weld and that didn't work. The oil still seeps through. So then I bought a spare upper oil pan and have just been waiting to get the money to install it. (Probably have to pull the motor?)
It's a pretty annoying problem to have. Maybe I'll try this.
