I thought I was lucky when my wife didnt beat me having my hatch on the dining room table for 6 months.
She is pretty laid back but I dont even think im laid back enough for an engine in the kitchen
it was only in the kitchen for about 3 days then moved to the garage for full assembly.
the reason why i put it in the kitchen was because you have to be in a really sterile environment when building the bottom end.
i had to vacuum and mop the floors to make sure no dust or lint was going to brush up on the block. and i used lint free tack cloth along with denatured alcohol to rub all of the crankshaft journals and bearings 1 pass each time and used a air compressor to install all the bearings. if just 1 little piece of lint gets into the bearings during install it will mess up the bearings.

Mic i swear if you call yourself a foodie, im going to find you and force you to adopt me. I love food. Almost as much as cars. Nothing like a meal that pleases your pallet
I really don't like the term "foodie" because it's such a hipster term. Hahahahaha. But ya, I am something of a foodie. I do the occasional semi-pro catering gig for small parties.... Not much lately but something to do for fun.
I prefer filet mignon to tbones. Something about a butter soft slice of beef is just yum.
Wellllllllllllll..... the filet mignon IS part of the tenderloin - from the short loin (middle, top of cow) - and is the self same piece of meat on the "small side" of a Porterhouse so essentially, you are eating filet mignon when you get a good Porterhouse. Lots mo' beef though.... and cooked with bone-on, oh yeah.
Note: Although that's technically not true as the true "filet mignon" is from the small end of the tenderloin.
OK, I've hijacked this thread enough.... but wanted to "show off" some of the dishes I'm proud of so I posted them here:
Flavorless cut is weaksauce. Its all about the cowboy ribeye...
My all time fav!! Bone-in ribeye! Yes!
My in-laws are cooking today... ribs, chicken, corn, da works. We're on Sweets duty today and bringin' fresh strawberry pie and root beer floats.
Good food and Z cahs.... don't get much bettuh!
Happy Papa's Day y'alls! And a quick "Enjoy yer last almost-Pops day!" to T'bo! Enjoy your sleep now cuz once she wants pickles n' ice cream then Jr. wants his/her 3am feed, izz all over, bro! Hahahahahaha!

Dirt.
OK, that wins the WCOTD Award. That's "weird craving of the day".... Ew.
I like your good attitude about the midnight snack.
Nice rhetoric. Wait until it happens and is accompanied by diaper blow out.

This!
I probably come off as a huge food snob when I tell people this. I also feel like a pretentious arsehole when I try to correct their usage of the word "filet."
What cut of meat do you like?
I like "filet."
Sure - I know you like your meat 'cut,' but what cut is your favorite?
Filet.
You do know that 'filet' means cut, right?
However, if people started saying they preferred tenderloin, about 75% of the population would be clueless.
