Hi, i have tried to find the issue on the forums around the internet for a while but no fix has been working for me.




This started after i re-did my interior and switched out my steering wheel but i have tested all the "fixes" i have found i even changed my oils, they were close to the minimum bar hehe.

I found a thread about the plastic wheel under the steering wheel (some sort of sensor) i did rotate that one but now its in correct position so the lights dont go off when i rotate the steering wheel anymore but after i drive 20-30 meters the ESP and antisliplight goes off.

I have been scanning my car with torque but there are no errors found :O

So if you guys have any ides please throw them at me.

 

I'm also interested in what it could be.
Mine came on just like that after some vigorous "parking" in an empty parking lot. Turned it off, locked, unlocked and on again and they were gone. Didn't throw any codes either. Never had a problem since.

Got chance you tore the clock spring when you installed the wheel with it rotated. Something I did in my past

 

Should it not come on when i rotate the steering wheel then? and not only when i drive a bit?

It was not expensive at all, i did read 100-200$ :O

Is there any way to look at the clock spring and see if its broken?

Can i damage my car if i drive it without it working?

My horn dont work either and my airbarg warns me so i guess the spring is the problem.
Hope that cheap Clock spring assy works out

 

I found out this today too, when i put extra gas on and maybe get up on 20MPH on first gear really fast ABS kicks in and stops the car, this only happens if i dont wait on antislip and ESP lights lighting up first.

Still think its the spring?
