Borla has the deepest exhaust note for a 350z that I've heard. Thats what I have and I freaking love it. You can add some racing pipes for added raspiness if that's what your're into. HKS is also nice and deep. Would highly recommend either one of those.

I have a buddy with the Invidia Gemini. It sounds good too. Not as deep as Borla.

Borla TD also isn't super loud. If you're looking for something loud and obnoxious Borla isn't for you. Its loud when you want it to be but its not going to wake your neighbors in the morning when you leave for work. It also has great HP gains and if I'm not mistaken one of the top, if not the top, HP gains for a dual exhaust on the Z.

Is the car yours now? Just curious because a few weeks back you were looking for wheels for your parents.

It's still my dads. They are giving the car to me soon but that has nothing to do with this. My dad simply wants to make the car sportier. I've been showing him youtube videos of different exhausts and I pretty much have him sold on the Invidia Gemini. He was even asking about the cost to install. Thats a good sign. He likes a deep exhaust. His concerns are it cant be too loud around the house because he is the Mayor and that just wont work for him. lol I will see if I can dig up some Borla videos on youtube to show him. Today I got him a Motordyne 5/16 spacer. Cant wait to install it. at 74k miles and 10 years, the car is lacking the growl it once had, per him. We hope to restore the punch back to the Z.

PS- Not sure if you followed the wheel thread but here is the Z now! The whole family loves it... except my mother who is now too afraid to drive it.

As I stated before, this is my fathers car. Well, he "high-centered" the car the other night on an angled driveway in a hilly area. Like a beached whale. Took my cousins 4X4 to get it unstuck. Scratched the hell out of the exhaust underneath. I dont think its the cat but he does so we are getting Berk HFC's. So, how do Berks sound on a stock exhaust? I hope it doesnt sound raspy. He already gave me the money after seeing 1 youtube video of Kinetix HFCs. So, Berk or Kinetix?

At the same time as the beaching of the Z, the engine was running like hell. Like it was on 3 cylinders. Threw a CEL for multiple misfires. I reset it. Car did not leak any fluids. Also had high temp readings. Since the incident and reset, car has run fine. We are hoping HFC's + 5/16 spacer + POP Charger + new plugs (has 80k) restore power. Your thoughts?

i had kinetix and they cracked, for their "lifetime warranty" they told me it would be cheaper to take it to a local shop and have them weld it. needless to say, shortly after that i took them off and sold them. was not happy with their customer service

I've only had my berk hfc's on a year but I've not had any problems with them. I only get a little rasp when I really get in it at higher rpm's. Combined with the borla duals it sounds great.

Tanabe Medallion Touring might be a good option for you as well.
It has very deep and sexy exhaust note.
Not loud, but very mean.

Just installed a Tanabe Medallion Touring on my '06 Z this past Monday. I would agree with this poster, it's deep and sounds good when you get on it. It's not loud enough to attract every cop in the area either.
